What were you reclaiming: PPI
Who was the provider: Lloyds Tsb
How much did you get back: £450 ish (only a small loan)
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1 letter sent less than 2 weeks ago to the bank.
And then write your brief reclaim tale : Sent 1 letter to the bank on the 8th, received response yesterday saying will be fully repaided with the 8%.
So i sent the acceptance back (recorded delivery) yesterday so they should get it tuesday latest. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to when this will be paid?! does it take long after they receive the acceptance to process it?! it wasnt stated in the letter. thanks!
That is fantastic, very quick indeed, especially for LLoyds TSB.
Congratulations and well done.
I would give them about a month, if you hear nothing chase them up, although they do have backlogs, so if you want to give them just a little longer than a month before chasing them it is up to you, but no harm done by asking for when you should expect to receive your money.:)
Well done.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thank you Martin for your advice page on reclaiming!!:j
I had a credit card with MBNA and have felt i was mistreated by them the years i had them,
I got Belmont and thornton to help claim my PPi fees back from MBNA, I got a letter saying i have been successful and got back £2797.87. This how ever has come of my credit card statement....i now only owe MBNA £300. What a drop!! I have to pay a fee to Belmont and Thornton tho which is :- £699.47 vat 17.50% £122.41 = £821.88.
I have some money saved to pay this fee" but need a little bit more towards it - i thought it would be about £500......but i was shocked to discover its £821.88. Not sure what the fees are for as there are no details explaining them...?
Because the fees going with a private solicitor has cost me this much i have decided to do all my other PPi Reclaiming myself...0 -

Firstplus denied misselling but as a gesture of goodwill they gave me back £18300 for the PPI and £4300 interest so my loan is reset as if i never had PPI although it is £4300 lower because of the interest. They also sent me a cheque for £5400 the amount of PPI payments I have made since March 2007

I call them every week and keep getting told thesame thing (we cant put you through to the department dealing with it and they are still processing it) Any ideas how I can speed up the payment ? I calle dthem last week giving them 7 days to pay or I would get a solicitor involved but nothing .... any ideas ??Debt Free in 2010 ??? Fingers Crossed:cool:0
