Seems like a breach of contract.
Do a search for LBA and MCOL. (In other cpw subsidiary problem threads)
Hi quentin. Yes, I am fully aware of the other threads. Whilst they have broken their t&c and I have threatened to sue on another issue I will hold fire until they leave me no other alternative. Meanwhile I will continue to warn people that they don't follow their own t&c and (now they've been caught out on here) are also following the E2Save route of rewriting them as they go along (as well as picking and choosing the parts they deem enforceable and those which they do not).
As you, I have no doubt they would be SO forgiving if a claim was late by just one day - no matter what the reason (my nose just grew longer), so it's perfectly reasonable of them to take 28 days longer to pay each claim than THEY wrote in THEIR t&c, don't you think? lol!
Unlike the rather pathetic and extremely short-lived attempts on here a while back by the E2Save Reps to portray their company as helpful (can't say honest in the same sentence as E2Save) I do acknowledge that the Mobiles rep is at least articulate (although obviously not numerate unless they are thoroughly dishonest like their counterparts), persistent and at least has a basic intelligence. Wouldn't you agree?0 -
I too used Quidco to obtain a new O2 contract from Mobiles.co.uk.
Ordered on a Saturday, phone arrived on the following Tuesday & cashback to Quidco paid in excellent time.
All companies have good & bad reviews, I can only base mine on my experiences & in this case, service could not be faulted.
Note that I have given bad reviews in the past where they were warranted. In this case a good review was deserved.0 -
It's a different sort of cashback - though would be amazed if it has been "paid" within two days on Quidco. Personally (yet another issue) I have three cashback site cashbacks which haven't tracked from this company - but that is more a tracking issue with the cashback site than anything to do with Mobiles as such (though they don't seem too enthusiastic to deal with enquiries from the cashback sites). What really matters is that (presuming it's a cashback deal) you actually get your cashback in full when it is due. I haven't!0

I really don't think it's fair to say that we're not following our own "T&Cs" when the only issue you've been able to highlight is the fact that cheques can arrive outside the 30 days we state it takes to confirm and pay cashback, and claiming I have rewritten the T&Cs when all I have done is add this fact to our Cashback FAQ is very dishonest in my opinion, but I can tell we're never going to agree. By your own admission we confirmed and validated your claim in 21 days, and I am working to get cheques despatch as fast as possible within the constraints of the cheque printers.
Again, if you have a specific issue with Mobiles (as you seem to keep implying) then I can help you.
Thanks to all of the satisfied customers who have given positive feedback in this thread, it's appreciated.

Cashback arrives late. It isn't sent within the timeframe. That is a breach of the ts + cs.
What happens when customers cashback claims arrive outside of the timeframe stated in your contract?0 -
It's not "the only issue" I've "been able to highlight" - as I have repeatedly stated, it is one of several examples. Your statements show that you are typical cpw, ignoring what I have said and picking and choosing which parts of your own t&c you choose to comply with. The t&c I have quoted are NOT FAQ but in T&C. They state the cheque should be despatched within 28 days - yet you take 21 before even passing it to (overtly) CPW or (so you now say) to some "secure" processor - allowing ANOTHER 28 (NOT 21 as you keep restating despite the written evidence) days to process. It is clear who is dishonest - and it isn't the customer.
Of course, if I were just ONE day late with my claim your t&c would suddenly become relevant to you!0 -
Hi Mobiles Rep. I wondered if you could please confirm something for me regarding the £60 Quidco cashback on the 3GS. I have a code for a free bluetooth headset that I would like to use, but I want to ensure that this will not invalidate my Quidco cashback. There is nothing in the Mobiles.co.uk terms shown on the Quidco website but I don't want to take the chance of missing out on the cashback because of this code.0

Hi,
Provided you follow Quidco's instruction regarding how to ensure your order is applicable for cashback (which I think involes making sure you go to our site via Quidco?) you will be fine - adding a freebie via a promo code doesn't affect Quidco cashback.

Mobiles.co.uk rep :-
Slightly confused by replies in this thread and I wonder if you could help me - and others - with a simple answer to the cashback question.
If I send a "correct in very way" claim in by your preferred means, just how long should it be normally until I receive the cheque back in my hands? Let's say that we allow 2 days at either end for the postal system.
And how long do your current (6th August 2009 11.15 or later in the day if you are updating them as i write) t&c give you before you are in default of them?
Many thanks.0
