Hi,
The cheque being "dispatched" refers to us passing your details onto Carphone Warehouse's secure cheque printers, unfortunately this process can take up to 28 days (something which we're not happy about and are trying to change, but as you can imagine this is not simple). During the period you mention we've also experienced the postal strikes, which may have had an impact.
I'm sure you can see that whilst it's still in the process that means it's being processed and to tell people it has been dispatched is missleading.
Which is why when people are told it's been dispatched they actualy think it has been sent to themIt's not just about the money0 -

I have already emailed someone to get the part of the site you refer to updated to be more realistic about how long the process can take (from our experience 8 days was the norm, but this was 2 years ago when we tested the process) and please accept my apologies for both the time it takes the cheque to arrive and the lack of response to your email from Monday. Like I said I am working to make Carphone's process faster but this is taking more time that I'd have hoped.
Please email me, ben at mobiles, if the cheque hasn't arrived by the 26th (28 days after the 29th October)?
Regards,
Hey Ben, if you're on, or anyone else can help. Is it normal for a "cash back" type communication from Mobiles.co.uk for their customer to have to pay £5.95 postage, drive a 15 mile round trip to the sorting office and take 1/2 hour out of work ?
I might be wrong and I hope to god I am but, there may be more to my thread yet. (fingers crossed) . . . . its either that or a ZX9r exhaust pipe0 -

Recevied my cheque today - the cheque was dated the 9th November. 34 days after I took out the contract, which, is quite ridiculous. Nevertheless, I received the cheque after a very long wait.0
