My update and the deal I have signed up to is:
    Free Samsung Tocco
    600 x mins
    unlimited text
    unlimited mobile internet
    12 month contract
    £22.50 per month
    Blue Tooth headset
    In Car Charger
Phone case thing (which is probs pants)

Dunno if its true but the chap said they could no longer give mobile TV addons within retentions. dunno if that was cr*p though.
Still very pleased with my deal - just hope I like the phone!

I was wondering if anyone has received a second call from retentions if a first call came to nothing?

Crikey, I must have had at least 15 calls from retentions after I requested my PAC, I'm not exaggerating!

I probably didn't explain that too well. After rejecting a laughable offer from upgrades I did request a PAC and had many missed calls from retentions before speaking to someone. As it turned out their offer was worse than the tariff I had anyway ("God knows why you're on that" were her reassuring words!) so I rejected that offer too. So what I was wondering was whether retentions call you again if you reject them first time.

Great deal! Did you get that discount for 9 out of 12 months or the full 12 of 12?

They will call again and again until you use the PAC. so you'll have more chances to try and drive a better deal - good luck ;)

I know sales can only ever offer up to the last 3 months at a discount. Also there have been cases in this thread of retentions setting discounts to end 3 months from the end of contracts and not mentioning this at the start so you've done brilliantly! In fact, you've got a phone worth more than the total line-rental for the year!

I've been on a SIM only with Voda for about 6 months now, £15 per month and £5 family add-on. They called me (upgrades; presume not retentions as it's a rolling contract) to offer me a C902 on an 18 month contract for £10 p.m for 15 months and back to £15 after that (although she says they would be contacting me in the last 3 months for another offer). I tried to get the £5 family included, but no luck with that.
I get 225 mins and 100 texts. I don't text more than 20 a month but do text friends in the EU (20p a text). Is there any intl texting option I could ask for?

Is this a good phone (I want a decent camera) as I can have any phone except the Nokia N95 apparently but am used to SEs. I'm very nervous of an 18 month contract but it seems to be cheaper to do this than continue with my old K750i and £15 p.m.

However if they do away with the My Family add-on I'd be a bit stuffed as I mostly call 2 other voda users. Any chance of this and I'd not want only 225 mins.

I'm not too clued up on mobile contracts, never having had one before, so your advice is appreciated. Do I get a cooling off period btw in case I change my mind or hate the phone? thanks.

    My offer
    Free Samsung Tocco
    500 x mins
    100 text
    unlimited mobile internet
    12 month contract
    £22.50 per month
    Blue Tooth headset

not as good as the other Tocco offer so rejected it. My 12 months expires on 11th aug so a few more offers to deal with before I accept a deal. I wont pay more than £20 per month.
