It’s hard to say, although since these tickets have been in existence they’ve been extending their booking availability every month or so. In that case I’d give it another week or so at a guess.

Just tried to book some rail tickets using the virgin print @ home service which has served me so well in the past with cheap fares.
I want to travel Manchester-London return in June.
It's showing tickets available till 22 May (tomorrow!). Normally gives a month or so availability.
Technical glitch or should I fear the worst- is this promotion over?

Looks like it hasn't (yet) been extended beyond 22nd May... I've merged this with MSE Archna's official thread on the £1 tickets offer :)

I booked one of these cheap tickets through the trainline.com as opposed to direct with virgintrains.com. Trainline.com took my money and did not allow me to print the ticket. I spent ages on the phone to them...0870 of course...and they said that I did not have a booking and that the booking reference that I had in front of me did not exist. They told me it was Virgin trains fault and to call them. So I did. Needless to say they said go back to trainline. Again I spent ages on their 0870 number trying to sort it out...this is where they make their money I suppose! So I have paid and still do not have a ticket to print off. I reckon that I have spent about £10 on phone calls...for a £3 ticket.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Perhaps not such a good deal after all.

But you CAN'T book these particular tickets direct through either the trainline or Virgin. Only through mobitix (admittedly an offshoot of thetrainline). It's possible you've been trying to contact the wrong people?? A puzzle anyway.
