sticky patch on carpet - any tips?
As the title says, i've got a rather nice sticky patch on my living room carpet which was caused by a boiled sweet which must've rolled under the sofa (I only found it when I moved the furniture recently). As this is a rental property, and i'm moving out soon, I really need to find a way of getting rid of it as I don't…

Wooden Garden furniture - needs cleaning
Afternoon! I have been given some wooden garden furniture. It has been sitting for some time. I have begun to sand it, but it was taking a long time to lift even the very top of the dirt off. I have now used a scourer and cleaned the top of the table, and it still looks rough. Is there anything other than sanding I can do?…

Yogurt maker
I was very tempted today to buy a yogurt maker, but resisted so I could do my research first :D Anyway, we currently spend around £4 - £5 a week on yogurts, mainly because DD1 wont touch milk and it's the best way of ensuring she gets her calcium  The yogurt maker costs £20 and makes a litre of yogurt at a time.…
