I've decided to tackle my last debt so doubt very much that I will be putting anything into savings until after next pay day. This month I have paid £575 off my debt. So only £222 and I will be free of debt and excluding mortgages for my living accommodation I don't plan on ever using another loan again.

Sadly our 15 month old cat was run over yesterday, breaking his back. We had to put him to sleep which was so sad. I can't believe he's gone. The vets fees were £773 . I would have gladly paid 10 times that had we been able to save him.
I'm so sorry to hear that :(

    Hi Slowlyfading :)

I've only just spotted this thread but can I join?

I've been participating with the "make £2014 in 2014," thread but have set my goal at £5000 savings this year.

Am well on my way so far but would like to officially join the thread anyway for the extra motivation!

Keep up the good work everyone :)
You've been added to the spreadsheet! :) have you got any savings totals for Jan/Feb/March to add?

Have added £195.70 to the savings today, making it £435.70 this month, bringing me to £1504.57, which means I'm actually on schedule to save £5000 rather than the £4000 I've put myself down for... Won't change the goal in case the rest of the year doesn't go as well :) Also transferring the "standard" saving of 240 today (in case anyone reads my signature and notices a discrepancy...), but that' from April's budget so I'll count it towards next month's saving.
    Save 12k in 2014: n. 104, goal £4k, achieved £4000 :)
The Completely Crazy 2014 Clothes Challenge: n. 58, goal £50, spend so far: £30

    Hello everybody! :)
Although I have been very quiet on this years thread, I have still been saving away in aid of my first house deposit!
This years total so far is £6400.
My current total to date is £68,000.
I will try and update more regularly in future! :)

I'm really sorry to hear about your cat tjp. I know how upsetting it is to have a pet put to sleep :( x

Well done everyone  It is great to see the challenge going so well. My total for March is £580. I think next month will be less though as I need to start putting extra money aside for our holiday in October :)

I am very sorry to hear about your cat tjp70. It is devastating losing a kitty especially when the kindest thing you can do means letting them go xxxxxx
