    Hi Slowlyfading :)

I've only just spotted this thread but can I join?

I've been participating with the "make £2014 in 2014," thread but have set my goal at £5000 savings this year.

Am well on my way so far but would like to officially join the thread anyway for the extra motivation!

Keep up the good work everyone :)

It's so awful to lose a pet. I still miss my dear cat from my childhood. Sometimes, I well up when talking about her.

I feel for you. Take care.

  • Hey everyone,

Not doing terribly well on the savings front here this year. Far too many unforeseen expenditures early in the year and pay cut at work means I've had to dig into last year's savings and not been able to put away as much.

We've got a lot coming up in the next year or so that would put even more pressure on finances. Really needing to get a grip on saving more!!

Reading how well everyone is doing really encourages me.

  • Declaring at £775 for March. I'm around £700 behind where I should be at this point so a bit of catching up to do but I'm prioritising clearing the debts first.

  • I think I'm declaring £350 for March which is a bit less than I hoped, but I knew this was one of the months that I have a lot of outgoings such as birthdays. Hopefully April I will be stricter with myself!

  • Never even made it to work today, full of the cold. Isn't get out of bed until after lunch time :( needed to get a bit of exercise or il never sleep tonight, as it's a fine day I washed my van and car. Don't feel too bad as had a good 2 weeks at work and il be working all day this coming Saturday to make up for the loss of earning today.

Need my winter tyres off, just seems to take ages as tyre places round here always seem so busy. Away to phone up and see if I can be squeezed in today. Will be bed early tonight, back to the graft tomorrow even if I'm still sniffing a bit. Surely I can only get better and usually the fresh air helps. Hoping for a healthier and wealthier April!!!

Sadly our 15 month old cat was run over yesterday, breaking his back. We had to put him to sleep which was so sad. I can't believe he's gone.
