Hi all
Number 41 updating - I saved £615 this month which brings me to £1843/£10,000 (18%). I don't think I can save much next month but I will do my best.

So I've paid off the payday loans and I'm now left with £167 in my account, which will need to last me until the 27th April. This is now the time to start saving and to hit my target..
Think I'll get the train to work every other week to save on fuel costs.
Still got £42 gym membership to come out and £12 phone bill, so I'll be left with £105 for travel and food until the 27th :O!
I will probably have to dip into Quickquid again, but only for £150 ~ which means I'll probably pay back around £180 end of the month...
I have to do it, I feel like I'm wasting time at this horrible job I need to leave with something!
Well done, keep at it.
Didn't do payday loans but had a large figure on Credit Cards and I was just paying the minimum for a few years until I finally flipped and changed things.
Feels much better in the long run when you have spare money when next payday comes around.0 -

I'm number 153 in the challenge.
My husband's benefit stopped on March 19th, so this payday (25th March) I was only able to put £240 into our savings account. Still, that's nothing to be sneezed at....
Next month may be even harder when my pension contributions and staff carparking charges increase, but we'll see.....
I've set myself a budget of £75 a week for housekeeping/going out/entertainment/etc. (of which £35 is petrol for work)...so far, I've stayed under budget every week since Christmas, and our weekly Aldi shop is coming in usually under £22 for the two of us (including dog food)...so doing well, considering!Save £12k in 2014 - No. 153 - £1900/£9000

Roughly £700 saved this month. It's always hard to tell until all of my expenses have gone out as I keep most of my money in my Santander 123 current account.
Savings for the year finally starting thoughWhat will your verse be?

Well done to everyone that managed to save this month!
I only managed to save £409.10 this month, what with Mother's Day, birthdays, travel to see parents and helping parents with food shopping.
I did get a measly £0.99 from a DVD I sold on eBay, and the bank was generous enough to give me £5 interest this month in my ISA. I transferred another £1k out of my current account to the ISA, hoping to get close to £6 interest next month.Goals

I'm averaging around £5.50 a month interest on my ISA, can't wait till I can start putting more into it and to see the interest rise in accordance with that... I'll have £500 to transfer as soon as the new tax year starts so that will be a good start.
I have to wait till payday on Monday till I can be sure of my savings for March. I had put £200 back at the beginning of this month, but with birthdays etc and an expensive Feb I had to dip into it by £50 this week. Next month should make up for this though.£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000
