Oops sorry I've been absent
My savings total to date was £473.99 this is just made up of daily tidy ups of the bank account and shopping savings from coupons and multi-buys. However, I took on the endowment companies and won a substantial compensation payment for mis-selling and have put the money into an ISA and savings account. I am over the £6K target
My figure should now read £6473.99. I feel like I've cheated a bit but I will carry on with the daily saving and see how far I get.
Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

Hi everyone, another bunch of inspiring posts over the last few days, just shows what we can achieve with our savings when we put our minds to it. This month we've had bills with no.2 son's auditions for drama school, plus the washing machine and bathroom shower both broke within an hour of each other! So more expense there. Overall we saved £1576.26 in March, giving a total for the year of 4199.02
Happy saving everyone.Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -

Reporting in my March total, a terrible £40
A combination of one offs and my (tiny) investment portfolio taking a tumble has meant that I barely escaped the month on a positive!
Onwards and upwards though people, I get a small dividend this month so hopefully I can get back on track soon!YNWA
