£780.57 saved this month. A bit disappointed as it should have been a good bit more but had too many expenses but still happy to be saying.

Got told I'm getting a pay rise :)
Not sure how much, I will find out next week.

It's the first one for a while, we used to get one every year.

I won't be able to save as much this month, vets bills and dental costs :/
  • Updated for March £351.29. A much better attempt than last months. :)

Hello folks, well everyone seems to be doing really well! I know we all have hiccups along the way, but everyone seems to be plodding on nicely!

Well my March update looks like this.....

    Standing order - £1000.00
    Regular Saver - £250.00

    Total - £1250

Luckily I've had a better month this month... probably could have saved a little more, but I'm kinda enjoying buying a few bits for the house! I'm hoping to try hard next month, so that I make up for the slow start to the year!

    Happy saving folks! x

Not doing too particularly well  Only added £199 to the kitty this month. Accounts are a little out of sync which doesn't help, hopefully should be better as the year progresses.

Well done to everyone who is on target, or exceeding their target. :j

    Signature is up to date.

Got £350 already paid into regular savers for March but not ready to declare yet.

Have £1,000 in my current account ear marked to open a new ISA on 6th April. Hate declaring savings that aren't in a dedicated savings account as it's not properly ring fenced from my available to spend cash!

Anyone else in the same boat this month?

Got no instant access account to shift it to short term :/

Worst case I suppose is declaring it for next month.

Good tip- I hate spending money on clothes/shoes, only tend to do it when I really need something. Picked up 2 pairs of almost mint condition Adidas trainers in my local charity shop yesterday for £4.99 each! Vintage style ones that are £60 a pair online. My OH things I've gone a bit nuts but I love how much I've saved :)

    Number 38 declaring for March:

Managed to save a bit more than expected, so that is an added bonus. £1,550 added to the fund as of today.

Well done to everyone who is managing to save some amount!

Yes! We're in the same boat this month! It's DH's bonus month and we've both just filled up our ISAs for the year so bonus money is currently floating around in the current account. I think I'll wait and declare it next month, it doesn't feel as though it has been "saved" until it is tucked away safely away from the danger of being spent :o

***I absolutely love charity shops! Probably 90%+ of my clothes were bought in them, things that I would have never forked out full price for :D (I think being female and quite an average size helps with finding charity shop bargains, DH is tall and skinny so isn't as lucky at finding things as I am.)

Hi everyone, I know we're well into the year already but can I join in please?

I'm trying to take advantage of the armed forces having sent me overseas so I don't need to worry about rent so i'm trying to save as much as I can for a deposit on a house when I get out in 4 years. To that end I am aiming to put £16,500 this year and this group will be a great help to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Declaring £3321.50 for March, £6809.67 for the year so far - so almost 40% of the way there. Sadly not every month will be like this and April's going to be much more modest but nice while it lasts :)

Well done to all, some great progress being made :D
