I love the colour scheme now, much easier on the eye :)

Should hopefully add a small amount this month, not particularly happy with my progress so far this year but I'm averaging £333pm with a target of £5k for the year. I would have put much more away this month if it hadn't have been for the few issues surrounding me....onwards and upwards as they say :)
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**

Nearly at the end of the month and so far no major disasters. The biggest expenses were the service/MoT and fuel up to Yorkshire but the car returned 58.8mpg so I made it there and back on one tank. As long as there are no crises between now and 31st it looks like I'll be able to save more than planned this month :D

With payday fast approaching I am declaring a somewhat disappointing £400 for March...

Had to dib in to the savings pot by using £200 to help towards an £800 repair bill on my car... Bad times!!
Also bought a couple of essential bits and bobs ready for our holiday in a couple of weeks that wouldn't normally be needed...
Hoping for a more successful April, I'm sure 2 weeks in sunny Sri Lanka will make sure we return motivated and refreshed!!

Hope everyone is well and good work on the totals so far guys - impressive stuff!!!

Well that's March payday done and £1052.41 put into ISA which fills it for this year. Total for this year is now £2698.43 which makes the deposit currently just over £7K.

First couple of months of the year are always strongest due to Xmas/New year oncall so will now level off for the rest of the year.

Still I have forecast about £7K altogether in 2012 plus £1,200 aside for Christmas and Car Insurance. So now need to shrink monthly bills and expendeture to try and get the other £5K.

Slowlyfading has now added me to the spreadsheet admin so I can make any tweaks that we want. Thoughts? The original point was the colour coding on Column E doesn't really work. I've a couple of thoughts to make it better but what do we think ?

My first idea was that % Saved (overpaid on spreadsheet) is 8.33% each month, so this could be colour coded based on that ?
Also each monthly payment could be colour coded against what the monthly save should be (total/12)

I like the idea of colour coding or RAGing (Red Amber Green) as it gives me a guide overall, however it should only be a guide and if people think this would act in a negative way we should probably ingnore altogether.

    Ideas ?

Actually scrap that, I'm still only view only. Watch this space. Do you still want help slowlyfading or shall I leave it?

I've added another £200 bringing march up to £517.18 this month.

I'm hoping to put another £250 to this total on Friday- fingers crossed! I'll declare my final total on Friday- really hoping I can meet the £2k mini target by the end of the month.
    CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

July debt total: £24,630.44 | New debt total: £18,316.34 | Total debt paid: £6,414.10 (26%)

Ive just come back, where abouts are you staying? I stayed around Galle, Unawatuna to be precise. I LOVED it and want to go back again for a tour of the country, missed out on going to Kandi and the elephant sanctuary.

    Hi folks

No money left to save for March so I'm calling £600 as my savings for this month. Not bad considering we've been to Miami for a week. I was hoping next months savings would be much more but my company hasn't paid me my commission so now I have to wait til April's payday.

Got a few things on Ebay though - aiming to make £500 on there to add to my savings.

SF - my number is #187 :-) Thanks

    Mel
