  • The last few months have been a bit of a disaster, savings wise. Need to up my game a little bit!!! Only 18% of target so far!!

  • Been a bit of a disaster this year, savings wise!! I'll be clearing balance of credit card off before the end of this month so instead of the £3,000 barrier I thought id break through....I'm going to end up at about £2,500. Making slow progress. Knew it would be like this and June July and August will save about 40% of yearly total in them months. Away to replace bathroom garage roof and redecorate hallway and kitchen so I would like to lower my goal from £15,000 to the thread standard £12,000. Still a great amount of savings to make in a year, so many people don't seem to save anything at all!! See people ill at my work that can't afford to take a day off so feels like in miles ahead even with modest £2,500 in the bank!! Well itl be £2,500 tomorrow when I get paid! Roll on the summer, lower expenses than I currently have yet higher income= much greater savings!!! Well done everyone sticking at it, to those who feel they are hardly making progress, summer is just round the corner, stick at it and surely itl come good!!

Better get back working, get working towards this £12,000!!! Sounds a lot but only £9,500 to go!!

£2,200 dumped into the ISA to bring it up to a nice round 5 grand this tax year. The monthly SIP and share options bring it up to a lovely £2,375 this month :-)

  • Right guys,

So I've paid off the payday loans and I'm now left with £167 in my account, which will need to last me until the 27th April. This is now the time to start saving and to hit my target..

Think I'll get the train to work every other week to save on fuel costs.

Still got £42 gym membership to come out and £12 phone bill, so I'll be left with £105 for travel and food until the 27th :O!

I will probably have to dip into Quickquid again, but only for £150 ~ which means I'll probably pay back around £180 end of the month...

I have to do it, I feel like I'm wasting time at this horrible job I need to leave with something!

Declaring £1,200 for March. Have updated the spreadsheet.

Will probably not be adding much over the next couple of months as I have an expensive NY trip planned :D! Hotel and flights are paid, but it is an expensive city and I intend to have a ball!

    Happy saving everyone,

  • I think I may have to revisit my target. I under estimated myself - so proud. Managed to lock away another £1k this month. :D
