Well give us a clue, what does he like/dislike?You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
He's a farmer so a 'meat and two veg' chap, "none of this funny pasta stuff you get these days". Probably not eggs either as he practically lives on the things (there's a lot of chickens on the farm!). Other than that I don't know!0

Once, a few years ago I did this in my then b/f (now lovely o/h) flat. I sat him in front of something he wanted to watch, then shut my self in the kitchen banging pots and pans for all I was worth.
What I actually gave him was yummy butchers sausages and fried onions in a crusty baguette, with a bottle of beer.
He laughed so much, because he thought I was whipping up something posh!!!0 -
Make a shepherds pie at home tonight - and warm it up tomorrow?0

I'd opt for the casserole, easy enough to heat up and you could even prep the veg to take with you.
Have a lovely evening whatever you decide.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
