Evening all,
Very late tonight been running around like a woman possessed today,
Had to have a mamagram this morning, then over to see MIL in hospital, she has had all her tests and things done now and Soc.Services have agreed she needs carers in 4 times a day for a few weeks then they will do another assessment. Hopefully she will be out soon.
Not next Tuesday though we hope, as we are at a funeral for most of the day, its for DIL's Mum she died on the 13th but there had to be a post mortem as it was a sudden death, thats why its taken so long.
Well my OSing has really gone to pot this last week, all I seem to have done is washing, washing and more washing, and loads of ironing  my favourite job....NOT....
I am determined to get the SC out tomorrow,I have really missed a nice hot stew.
I saw on here a few days ago that someone had done gammon in cider I think it was, so can whoever it was send me a pm or post on here, the recipe please. I remember reading it and thinking oooo sounds lovely.
(((HUGS))) to all in need today and to bargainbird very special gentle hugs,
is baby here yet ooooo its so exciting x
off to watch TV and finish some knitting now

Well, Mum and I scoured the charity shops today and I picked up some lovely things - a wicker plant pot, a nice shabby chic frame with blue and pink roses on it, some wool plus a popcorn bowl to use as part of a movie themed gift and Grub on a Grant .
OOH Grub on a grant is excellent. When I was at Uni I had all 8 of Cas Clarkes books, They are or maybe arent at my parents now
but I was lucky enough to pick up some of her books from the library and also one from a charity shop. She does some very good ones. I was very fond of Chicken Carter. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -

Hello all - MIA yesterday due to a non-co-operative internet connection - anyone else have any problems with Orange last night?
Bargainbird - how exciting, fingers crossed for all going smoothly (and quickly!) for you!
Halight - what a lovely post - you're so positive about everything.
Mummysaver - thank goodness you're OK. Such a scary experience though.
Aussie Lass - Happy Birthday to you!!!
The spare room is finished!!!!! :j :j :j The curtains were done at Mum and Dad's on Wednesday night - apart from a minor problem over the bit being cut off the bottom which lead to me having to overlock back on a 3' long strip of fabric
all went well. I managed to get the lampshade I wanted in our local B&Q last night too which will save me a trip to another store. We've just got the last few bits of tidying up to do in there now and then it's al ready for my friend to turn up tomorrow.
Shopped twice today! Went to MrT's at lunchtime, thinking it would save me going after work, but the little store near work didn't have everything I wanted. Did manage to geet another 3 free range chickens on the special offer though - one has been poached this evening for stock - not sure yet on what I will do with the meat from that one. One has been frozen, and the other will be roasted to feed three of us on Sunday with leftovers making pizza for tea that night, among other things. Bought a couple of jars of Coffee while they have it at £3 per jar too, so the bill was a little higher than I would have liked but at least we're well stocked.
Tea tonight was lamb tagine (HFW recipe) with Couscous and pitta bread. Lunch tomorrow for myself and friend will be the rest of the soup I made for last night's tea, with fresh bread from the BM. We're spoiling ourselves with a chinest takeaway tomorrow evening! :T
