I would appreciate some advice because I am very angry at Tesco. I exhanged £25 pounds worth of clubcard vouchers for £50 worth of double up clothing vouchers.

I bought £50 worth of clothing using the clothing vouchers for my uncle and baby cousin but got the sizes wrong. I didnt have good taste in what I picked either, so my mum said she would just buy stuff on my behalf.

I took the clothing back to Tesco seeking a refund of my vouchers, however I was told that I could only have £25 put on a clothing gift card specifically.

This would mean that my original £25 worth of clubcard vouchers would only be worth £25, not the £50 in double up vouchers or £100 in clubcard deals.

I told them that this was unacceptable and I did not see why I should lose the value of my clubcard vouchers because I was duped into converting them to clothing vouchers.

I am taking the matter further tomorrow but since there are currently no terms and conditions for the double up vouchers and I was not warned that i would lose the value of my vouchers at the time of sale, I do not feel Tesco have a leg to stand on.

    http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/terms.asp#in-store-rewards

13.Any refunds of purchases made using reward tokens will be equivalent to the Clubcard voucher value originally exchanged

You will be better taking them back without a receipt at another store and asking for a gift card or swapping them

Tesco are going to catch a lot of people out with this and I will be making my feelings very clear about this. The terms and conditions are not displayed in store and the staff are clueless about this matter.

There is no way I am being forced to accept a £25 clothing gift card.

They will only give me a £25 clothing gift card which I dont want. Why should I be forced to accept a clothing gift card?, its discrimination against people who are duped into exchanging their clubcard vouchers for clothing vouchers instead of paying cash where there is no problem at all.

Looks like you are trying to play the system and when it works it's great, but when it doesn't, take it on the chin! Why should they give you twice as much back. You're clutching at straws I'm afraid.

By the way I hate Tescon

There are no booklets or anything where you exchange them instore ?

Every clubcard holder got a copy of the terms with there clubcard vouchers they received, and it also says the T+C's on the printed voucher ?#

Like i say take them back to another store without a receipt you will then get the full value back on a giftcard or swap for other clothes or items you want

You started with £25 worth of vouchers which were doubled. How have you lost out? You have £50 worth of clothings which you paid £25 for. What's your problem??????? You will still have £25 worth of vouchers!

I can see where the OP is coming from to be honest, it would be fair to get another £50 voucher back to spend on clothes again, she has lost out of an extra £25 or £75 of deals

I know a moment of stupidity. However right now I feel like getting all my clubcard vouchers not yet used and burning them on the hob and shopping at ASDA for life.

I bought them at a Tesco near my aunts and then returned them after discovering they were no use to the nearest Tesco to my house 20 miles away.
