He made the same whinge on Digitalspy.
Poster, you elected to exchange your original clubcard voucher for clothing vouchers. Ergo, you don't get to change your mind now.
You're lucky they're accepting the items back at all AND offering you more clothing vouchers.0 -
I can the OP's point though, if he had £25 of clubcard vouchers to start with to spend on anything in store and then doubled them up to £50 of clothing vouchers, spent those but returns said clothing, then if Tesco are going to give him a clothing gift card, it should be for £50 not £25, if Tesco are only going to offer him the original £25 back, then surely they should give him a giftcard for any purchase in store not just restrict him to purchasing clothing? does that make sense?Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

Your post does make perfect sense. However, firstly the T&C's are quite clear on this. Secondly, Tesco are under no obligation to accept the goods for refunds (cash/credit) or even an exchange, as they are not fault nor unfit for use.0 -

Thank you for this post. This is my point why should I or any customer be penalised for using the vouchers instead of cash.0 -

They are not clear though because they are not making them transparent. There is no sign on the wall nor do staff warn you about this and there needs to be. If this had been the case and I went ahead anyway then there would be no complaint.0 -
Yeah I agree, OP should be happy with what was given.0

Just admit it, you are in the wrong.0 -

But if I return the £50 worth of clothing using the double up vouchers then I am no longer doubling up.
If I had paid £50 in cash for a jacket and returned it with a receipt within 28 days but was told I was only getting £25 back and had to spend it in the clothing department or else, I can guarantee most customers would not be happy.0 -
