This is to stop people doubling up their vouchers then taking the goods back for cash or an 'open' credit note for anything instore..which is basically what I think you are trying to do.

Sounds about right! The OP didn't read the Terms & Conditions which were included in his clubcard statement and on the leaflets at the front of the store and has unfortunately made a mistake, learn to live with it and move on!

If they DID give £50 worth of vouchers in return for £25 of clothes bought with £25 of vouchers, would it be possible then to : -
    • purchase £100 of unwanted clothes, as £50 vouchers buys £100 worth.
    • return them the next day.
    • get the clothes exchange for £100 vouchers.
    • Go back in again for £200 worth of clothes as you now have £100 of vouchers.
I do believe that by this time next week Rodders, we could be MILLIONAIRES (in Tesco Clothes vouchers....)

Teee heee heee heeeee - what a bunch of doofuses!
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.

I don't think its that bad !!! My doubling up at the weekend got me 9 bottles of Gallo 5 Oaks (SEL £8.99) for £30 - less £4 odd 5% discount (off the full price, not the discounted price), less £10 of CC vouchers doubled up to £20, less a £2 Finish Coupon, less a £2 and a £1 Huggies coupon, less a couple of extra little coupons and my total to pay was round about £2 (and that included a couple of tubs of fresh cream).

Personally, I thought that was excellent value for £10 worth of CC vouchers - but then, maybe the wine I'm now enjoying has clouded my judgement.

How do you make it out to be a rubbish deal?

I am coming to Tesco's defence i think this is a great deal and more so if you cannot find anything in their 4times the amount vouchers deal, which i have to admit i can't.I have just received an email to say these vouchers can also be used to pay for your food delivery at tesco.com so i am well pleased.Sometimes no matter what Tesco do they cannot win.Cut them some slack folks at least they are trying, every little helps.
