I have already mentioned HOW it is done three times, including a woman who was signed up from a shoe shop AND exactly HOW this company scams both the customer and the companies involved.
It might be a good idea to backtrack through this thread and read the posts by ALL those who never signed up to anything, before concluding that everyone signed up for it.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I am soooooooo angry with myself!
I have just made a purchase from lookfantastic.com and after going through the checkout on the order confirmation page there was a message that said "Your purchase is complete. Click here to claim your £10 cash back incentive on your next lookfantastic purchase." We purchase a lot of cosmetics/skincare products & use LF frequently, so like an idiot I clicked it. There was no mention of which site it takes you to, until you actually get there!
As soon as the 'Shopper Discount & Rewards" page loaded I thought something seemed a bit odd. The page had a form to fill in, Name, Address, Card Details etc... which I obviously didn't fill in!! But after reading this thread I am now worried, that they didn't need me to fill it in as LF might send them my details anyway?? Also I used paypal to pay for my purchase, what affect would this have?
Is there anyone that can offer me some advice or if they know if these 'charges' will start appearing on my bank statements? Any help appreciated!

I have just realised that I was being ripped off by 'shoppers discount.com' too. They were taking £10 a month from my account, so after reading some of the post on this site I found this phone number 08082341539. I called it and cancelled my account. When you call just press 3 to talk to a human being and ask to cancel your account.
They are obviously getting alot of cancelations as one of the first questions the operator asked me was "do you wish to cancel your account?"
I also asked for my money back and I was told that the last 3 payments would be returned to my account, no questions asked!!!!
When I asked how I became signed up to this I was told that it started with 'La Redoute' I made a purchase and then was given a £15 money off voucher, to get this I filled in an on-line form! This signed me up to a 30 day free trial of shopper discount.com, which I cannot remember being told about, this in turn lead to me being a member at the cost of £10 a month!!!!:mad:0 -

After my van getting broken into two nights in a row - and doing a Citizens Arrest on the first one (they didn't and couldn't take anything on the second occasion with the van 100 miles away in a different place), now this!!!!
It is only a tenner, but it is the principle - have cancelled my business debit card, have emailed SHOPPERDISCOUNTS.CO.UK but more worrying is the source of where they got my details. I book with Premier Inn quite frequently (they are in the clear) and have used Easyjet before without such problems, the only recent transaction is with Ticketmaster to book tickets to see the lovely Rumer, but surely this would cause serious problems and there would be more posts about Ticketmaster bring the source fo the leakage. Booked some more tickets to see Rumer on another site CrowdSurge who have been professional in their response. Don't know which Company is doing this well done for all the contributions on this matter, there is no doubt that we are the tiniest proportion of their 'customer' base and they are making tens if not hundreds of thousands of pounds from this scam. I will post again when I get a response from CrowdSurge & Ticketmaster, just an inconvenience and a pain in the backside!

If you have had more than the 3 payments that they have offered to refund you taken from your account...call them back and ask for every single penny they have taken from you....you will get it all back0 -

I posted earlier, must be paranoid after having my van broken into on consecutive nights!
Saw Shoppers Discount debit on my bank statement early this a.m., cancelled my card after reading the forums.
Everyone I have spoken with has been professional and courteous - just don't worry or panic or inconvenience yourself like I have, nothing untoward here. I speak as I find, I will post the two replies I have had from SD, there has been no problem at all (links omitted as I am a new user).
Dear Ian,
Thank you for contacting Shopper Discounts & Rewards.
Our records show that you or someone with access to your credit/debit card completed an online transaction with Premier Inn. After your transaction, you were offered the opportunity to join the Shopper Discounts & Rewards programme with a £15 cash back voucher and a 30 day free trial. Immediately next to the offer, the Offer and Billing Details were displayed. By entering your name, address and credit or debit card details and then clicking on the 'yes' button to accept the offer, you authorised us to charge the monthly membership fee of £10 to the credit card or debit card that was provided after your free trial period ended.
Shopper Discounts & Rewards is an online savings and discount programme that enables you to earn cash back rebates of up to 20% at over 800 online retailers. In addition, members can benefit from shopping guarantees and protections.
We try to make the offer as clear as possible by placing the Offer and Billing details directly next to the offer and sending out a pre-bill notification email within the 30 day trial period. However, we apologise if there has been any misunderstanding in the offer.
This membership has been cancelled as of the 06/10/2010 and we have issued a refund of £10 for the membership fee charged. Your refund will be credited to your credit card or debit card account within the next 10 working days.
Your cancel confirmation number is: 31618972
If you require further assistance, please contact our Customer Contact Centre on our free phone number: 0800 731 9935 Monday-Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.
