And now we go again...

JD that's good feedback on the courgettes/squashes in pots - thank you! 

Ironically enough after the previous conversation about courgettes it dropped far colder overnight last night! We'd already discussed shoving the mini-tunnel over them if needed, but neither of us realised that it might be an idea, last night. They seem to have lived to tell the tale, anyway - fingers crossed! I knew it was a bit chilly yesterday evening as I stuck the heating on for a bit - it was just hovering around my tolerance level in the living room last night and I decided comfort came first! 

MSE Stuff:
- Banks checked and all good
- CC money shuffle now done to almost up to date - just one small odd amount plus my lens still to clear off
- Food spending last week was just under £50 but that did include stocking up on some odds and ends, although there is more of that needing done yet too.
- 2024/5 tax year ISA opened, and filled already from joint funds. Still enough in our joint long term/EFaccount accessible by MrEH if needed, so the ISA being only accessible by me isn't an issue. 
- Renewed the bonus rates available on the other savings accounts to get them right up to date. 
- Swerved away from couscous last night in favour of using a part-pack of quinoa what had been in the cupboard for an awfully long while. Mum bought it originally, and gave it to me as they weren't keen, and I've just been not getting around to using it! I thought it was OK - I think MrEH was less sure but he didn't leave anything so...! I'll probably use up the last little bit in the pack just for myself at some stage though. That also used up the sad spring onions, which were 15p ones from Easter! 
- MrEH needs to get the roof chap paid today - he did finally get to us on Friday, has fitted a new cowl/base thingy around the soil stack vent, and fingers crossed it appears that we're not getting any new water ingress now although we've not had huge amounts of rain in between then and now, so we will see. 
- "Full and frank"   discussion with MrEH about him needing to ensure that he actually DOES have access to both the mortgage account AND the joint EF/Long term pot as I have discovered that he's still not got around to getting either sorted. We've discussed the mortgage before, but this is the first I've heard of him not being able to access the joint savings! *rolls eyes*. Anyway - as he needs to be able to move funds to pay the roof man, that might just focus his mind a bit. Otherwise I've cheerfully suggested that he needs to pay him from his own money at the moment, then he can refund himself once he's got the access sorted!   
- Currently on a chat with that well known satellite TV provider about getting the free trial of HD cancelled before it becomes chargeable. Once again I was assured when I accepted the offer of the trial that it could "easily be removed via the app" and once again that proves not to be true at all!  I've asked for feedback to management level this time. 
- Tea this evening will finish the mushrooms and the final three rashers of bacon in the pack. Still not worked out what we are eating tomorrow...
- Looking at a B@ckm@rket purchase to replace the desktop PC that MrEH uses for work as it seems that his work IT can no longer "talk" to the old one - probably something to do with a *whistles innocently* rather outdated windows version...

Had a call from the Solar team this morning - they just need a few measurements done additionally to what was done on the survey and all being well we should be all systems go. They are currently looking at hopefully a June/July install which would be ace as we should be able to hit the ground running with decent generation levels. Might be a fairly steep learning curve though! Ah well, nothing like hitting the ground running is there! 

Managed to squeeze in a longer walk before work this morning thanks to being parked up earlier than usual (combination of leaving slightly earlier as MrEH had an early meeting, and the traffic being lighter (did I mention how much I love school holidays?!) so already on over 7k steps for the day. I want to get back into the habit of doing the nightly yoga again as well - that's slipped over the past fortnight.
