Even if I wasn't shopping there?
Doh!  How do they know that?
Probably by their CCTV - lets be honest they have got you fair and square.
Personally I would rather cough up and forget about one like this than have the bother of fighting it.
    But everyone is different.
Although some say its not 'forum advice' (whatever that means)

So what ??????   You may wish to waste your money, the majority don't
On this occasion, the OP did not shop in Lidl, that does not mean she has never in the past or will in the future. Simple means that Lidl risk losing a customer and all her friends as well.
    Your advice must be ignored

John us making  a lot of enemies here, perhaps he should be advised to post elsewhere.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • I'm just looking on the planning application site now for the local council.

@beamerguy is right, I don't want to waste my money on something that might never go anywhere. The car is actually in my boyfriends name, so he was worried that if by not paying it would go on his credit file etc somehow

Why?  Has he not done any research on such matters?

  • No @D_P_Dance - he's one of those people who would just pay the 'charge' as hasn't researched into it - hence me trying to help sort this as I've had previous ones cancelled (under different circumstances)

Simple answer , if he loses , he pays up , in full , pronto , within one month

That way his credit file remains unaffected

The images of the car are VERY blurry, can't even see who is driving it I'll be honest - it's obviously just picked up the number plate due to the reflection from the light
My local Lidl has cameras in the car park and store, as well as the ANPR at the entrance.

Do we know yet whether Gemmalouise25 was using your local Lidl or not?
