Boyfriend wants a 37" screen and 1080P, he has been looking at 2 models Toshiba Regza 37X3030D and Sharp Aquos LC37XD1E. Reviews for both sets are very good, so I have been trying to find him the best price. I have found the Tosh here http://www.duck.co.uk/web/main/ProductDisplay.asp?An=0&N=0&Au=P_MasterItem&Nu=P_MasterItem&A=16W489%5F&cm_re=Home%20A-_-Promotion%201-_-16W489&colour=&catno=16W489&suffix=LDM&size=&quantity=1 so it would be £730 ish incl Quidco cashback. Does anyone know of any better deals than this? It seems to be the best I can come up with - gutted my old "hook-a-duck" codes have expired though :(

Crabman.........going to wait until refund confirmed, then EBuyer maybe...£299 free delivery....JT/E2 set.
What a bunch of charlatans!! First a call to say I'm wrong, then another call to say I'm right, it's the wrong TV, and they'll refund in full including delivery. Then I receive a returns email which doesn't include the delivery refund :wall:

I asked for compensation for having to wait in 3 days but 'we don't deal in compensation' If there was an MSE Blacklist I'd definitely add Misco to it :rotfl:

I have heard of bad things about Misco, they use to be simply computing. I also had problems with them when I bought a KVM switch it said you get the cables free, but they never sent me then, had to argue with them about it and in end they sent me the cables

I want a cheap 32" that could also be used as a PC monitor - any suggestions? what particular spec should I look out for?

Eventually getting my hands on the Hanspree, JT01-32E2-000G...as per recommends by loads of people, I am v dissappointed.

I am finding the picturedoes not scroll any where near smoothly, and so far I have not been able to find a good setting for brightness/contrast etc. Also, the set emits a constant, very high pitched whisle.

OK, I know it was not an expensive set, but surely all those previous posters must have got better results?

Can anyone else who has this model let me know....is it the set maybe?

I bought from EBuyer....if I did want to change, for a pricier model, do you think they would swap it, and if so, again, any better experiences from other makes?

I've found Home Cinema to be very useful in the past for giving sound reviews on TVs and the like.

Given that the make for 'Hanspree' appears to be absent from their reviews of LCDs, it looks like you may have purchased some duff kit...?

TJ Hughes are adverting a Beko LCD TV, 26" only £199 .
They say it is "up to 75% off",
    Does this mean it's now a 6.5" TV???? ;)

I think that is unfair. Hanspree is considered one of the better budget tv's and is heavily discussed over in avforums. As they are relatively new to TV's there may not be many reviews. I believe they aslo produce decent budget PC TFT panels under the HANS-G name.

Fair enough - stand corrected over Hanspree.

I still maintain that Home Cinema is a very good tool when it comes to considering AV purchases.
