Sounds ok, but you have to way things up, I've just bought a Hannspree XV 37" for 400 quid, it's not bad, but one of the main reasons I bought it was the manufactuers warranty of 2yrs as standard... 2 yrs time everything will be better and cheaper  probably!
Whoops!!!, just noticed the fre 3 year warranty with that Hitachi, looks good

I've just had an AOC 32" delivered & I'm pleased with it, although I don't have much to compare it to as my old telly was very dated. I haven't tried the HDMI yet but freeview works well through scart & I believe the spec is a bit better than some of the other budget LCDs.

Sainsbury’s are selling the Sony KDL26U2000 - 26" Widescreen Bravia HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview for £449. This is comparable with online prices although you can get it at last check £414.
Still seems like a good deal if you want to walk into a store and buy one plus you get nectar points.

hi devils_nose, we took delivery of the toshiba 37x3030d from currys yesterday. picture quality and sound are excellant. we bought online a few weeks ago, the price was a 'web special' at £760, but i found a 5% off code bringing it down to £722, well chuffed!!
my brother in law has the sharp in 42", it looks great, but in my opinion the tosh beats it for picture quality, and we only have sky+, he's running sky hd.
however, i would be really pleased with either telly, the differances were minimal.
hope this helps.0 -
Ref the discussion on the toshiba 37x3030d, I have had one for a couple of weeks now - bought from BeyondTelevison.co.uk
(direct http://www.beyondtelevision.co.uk/thisProduct.asp?ID=934 )
Anyone looking to use Beyond Television I would recommend them - not sure if they're the cheapest anymore as the prices are changing daily - they're currently at £759.90 which includes next day courier delivery.
The TV is brilliant for picture quality (both normal and high-def) and the sound is good, but could use the addition of a subwoofer - it has a slight rattle on the bass when you turn it up too far.0 -
**DO NOT BUY FROM MISCO - THEY'LL GIVE YOU AN INFERIOR MODEL IN THE HOPE YOU WON'T NOTICE THEN WON'T REFUND YOU**
I hope nobody has to endure what I am with this sham of a company, they should be closed down :rolleyes:0 -
Hi Guys,
Been following the forum quite a bit as I've been searching for a 42 or 46" HD LCD for a few weeks now. A friend who works for Currys has advised either LG or Samsung? I'm not too sure if it would be worth paying for the 1080P just now - what's the general consencus? I don't want to be paying too much ie Sony and Philips. any advice would be fantastic. Cheers:money:0
