    Hi all

Im currently looking for a 50 inch plasma/LCD TV. Im on a tight budget so the cheaper the better.
I've managed to find the following tv:

    http://www.laskys.com/tv_and_dvd/plasma_tvs/plasma_tvs_50_inches_and_above/lg_50pc1d.html

There’s mixed review about this product, but for the price you really cant complain.

Any advice or thoughts about this product would be greatly appreciated or any other TVs out there that you would recommend.

    Thanks

Just had the Misco 32" LCD (E2) delivered except it isn't the same one, the contrast is 750:1 (should be 1200:1) and brightness is 450 (should be 500). The model number is "YT07", whereas it should be "XV32". The actual set looks different to the one pictured on their site. It has only one HDMI input whereas the site says two.

Not happy, I'm going to call them up and get it collected, they'll pay the collection costs as this is their error for supplying an item which is different to that described, is that right? Or should I ask for a reduction as this is of inferior specification to the one I paid for.

XV is the name of a range of LCD televisions... 32 just denotes that it is 32"
within the series there are JT and YT models - sounds like you've got the YT07-32E1-000G.

    see HERE

The model on their site is the JT (different spec and buttons on the top)
If you need 2 HDMI send it back, if you want to wallmount it or have PIP/POP then keep but have a shot at reduction.

Good point, they said that these TV's went direct from supplier to customers, so they didn't actually go via warehouse as per normal. Tech Support at Misco said it's a 'mispick'. CS is going to call back once suppliers have got back to them. Yep, it's got to be the E1 model then.

I'm actually having problems getting a clear picture. My sky box is connected to the LCD via a scart cable, but on my 14" TV (the temporary one) the picture is clearer. I've tried different setups but still no joy, so unless I get this sorted before they call I'll be sending it back. Will keep you informed portchieboy

    P.S: What's PIP/POP? :o

Yes if the tv isn't as described, they should get a full refund or replace with the one agreed at there cost

Had a macro letter through this week they are doing 32" HD ready plasma for £250 plus VAT and a sony one for similar price. No direct info yet but might be worth a look?

Don't do that! The extra bit of traveling is well worth the free 5 year warranty! Or you could phone the branch and order over the phone and have the TV delivered for free.
