Hugs Som, I took F into work with me yesterday to meet a colleague from work, so I can start preparing for the fact that I'm going back. My colleague's pregnant and will be going off about 6 weeks after I start back and I'm sooooo jealous!
We've looked at our finances, and it doesn't matter which way up I turn them, I'm going to have to go back full-time . I'm really not looking forward to it. It doesn't help that my colleague's talking about going back part-time when she returns either.
Becles - I hope you feel better soon.
Also hope Alfie's feeling brighter soon.
SS - Sending hot chocolate and a hug your way.
Gill - I've started on purees (more for DH and my peace of mind), but I'm hoping to start F on the blw very shortly. With Amelie, we used it as an excuse to make us eat more healthily and it really has worked as we've stuck to it (for mealtimes anyway!) 5 years later.
Hope Sophie's jabs go ok.
Michelle - Freddie loves the porridge too.

He can sit up but not totally unsupported yet, altho he's not far off. And yes Michelle, he does have his highchair...and it is 'one of those'

Mmm, Im not sure if I should get a bumbo and tray or go straight for the highchair?? A is currently in the process of trying to sit up by holding onto things around her or her legs, mainly to play with her feet. Ive got the problem that since A was born ive pretty much lived off sandwiches whilst DH has some kind of manly meat every night. I gues this weaning lark will get my bum into gear to lose the 4stone I need to get back to my pre honeymoon weight! :eek::eek:

Ooohh thanks for the tip about the bibs! Will got on my list of what to get from Ikea when I finally get a chance to go there! And Im dreading work, I will be full time! :(:( The thought makes me sick. Looking at nurseries over the half term as well as one childminder ive been speaking to.

Gtg now, have to get dressed and look half human for this trip to the cinema.

ETA: A is becoming a little manipulative with her fake coughing! :eek: :rotfl:She sticks her tongue out and really tries to push them out when she wants a bit of attention ever since she's been ill. Keep an eye out for that one SS and CAFC.

ETA (again): hope sophie's jabs go well today.

A is asleep! Ive just read the few posts put up looked at her and she's sparko! Im guessing shes not going to sleep during the film then!

arnie - its awful isn't it, for me to go back full time I'd have to pay out for chilcare and what with extra travelling I'd end up no better off. I can get childcare from MIL 2 days a week and do a couple of evenings when OH can take charge to make up my hours though. I really feel for you x

Geniune BLW question here, i just wonder how you know your baby is getitng enough food? I personally would worry they weren't getting enough food? That's why i feel more comfotprtable doing it the way i am, giving him his food every meal then i know for sure with that and his milk he is getting all the food he needs

Plus I just think some of the things we eat aren't suitable for e

Presumably the sitting unaided thing is just a way of discouraging early weaning as the typical age range for sitting up is about 6-9 months and "they" say you shouldn't wean any later than six months. My OH was eleven months when he sat up and he had been weaned well before that.
