Pants night sleep and I still feel poorly, so I'm not going to work today.

Just put the bairns bed linen in the washing machine and Charlotte was looking out the window having a discussion with herself about the weather and if I'd get the sheets on the line today :rotfl:
Hope you feel better soon. Alice is obsessed with whether the washing is hung out or not - if it rains, she always starts shouting about the washing and seems genuinely worried about it.

Morning. Not totally caught up so not sure of everything that's going on just now. Hugs all round though.

Alfie has a chest infection so got anti-b's from Dr yesterday. Not taking any effect just yet though. He loves the taste, it's the yellow banana omoxycillin so at least it's not a problem getting it into him.

Out for lunch with a friend today, she doesn't mind our germs, but I'll be keeping Alfie away from friend's daughter (his girlfriend :p ) as she's only small (4 months) and I would feel bad if she caught anything.

Aww Alice sounds just like Charlotte about the washing.

Charlotte was upset because I put a bar of soap out of a gift set in the bathroom and it's not that good and it's gone a bit squishy. She was really concerned telling Craig about the soap mess on the sink :D
Here I go again on my own....

gill, i would say there's not actually much to 'look into' for BLW! It's just really giving baby 'normal' food cut into pieces they can pick up themselves. So don't puree the carrots, just chop into batons so their little fists can grab, etc. Very simple, really. Baby will eat when hungry, stop when full! ;)

Thanks Aless...it's more that I want to make sure what I can/can't give him atm as he's still 2 weeks from 6 months.

Hahaha he did an epic poo this morning for DH...must be the result of last night's porridge!

:rotfl: That's just the sort of thing Alice would be bothered about.

I think the bang on 6 months thing doesn't really sit completely right with BLW - we did it totally baby led, in that when we felt Alfie was ready, we started, which happened to be a week before he turned 6 months. So long as T can sit up, is interested and can get the food in his mouth then he's probably ready :) The only things you really need to watch are honey (not supposed to have until 1 year) and salt content. Babies should have no more than 1g in a day but so long as you are sensible I'm sure you'll be ok.

Alfie started on plainer things, steamed veg, plain meat etc but now litereally has what we have. He's had, and enjoyed, curry and all sorts of really tasty stuff!

There's plenty of people on here who have done it the lazy way and we're all happy to answer an questions you have about it. I swear by it, it is sooooooo much easier!

I need to hang the washing out today, too, but the skies look threatening. Finn likes to play with the indoor airer and "help", so it will have to be after he goes for a nap. :p

She's very sweet. One day last week when I stayed in bed late she decided to "look after" me by being a "Doctor". This involved covering me with "bandages" (aka handkerchiefs), listening to my chest with a "stethoscope" made of lego, giving me teddies to cuddle and giving me lots of kisses and cuddles.

Charlotte and Alice always brighten my day. I love hearing about what they are both up to :D

Morning  Hope everyone has a good day today. :D

    Good morning all!
I forgot to say what a cute pic of A Rmac! :) And yes, her and Alice look very similar.

T had his first taste of baby porridge this evening and he loved it! He'll be having it again for breakfast tomorrow. I'm not sure how to guage how much he should have though as he ate everything I gave him and cried when it was gone!
I'm off to ikea with my mum tomorrow. Is there anything I need while I'm there? :) My list so far consists of fleece blanket for T to play on, the giraffe building blocks that Alfie was having so much fun with, a nice big fluffy baby towel.
A loved the porridge too! :) She kept shouting at me in between mouthfuls because I wasnt quick enough. Do you have a highchair for T yet as they do come highly recommended from Ikea. ;)

Morning all a bad night here- I need sleep. Ava has definately ramped up her feediing but combining with her snuffles which do seem a bit better this morning my boobies are feeling the pain.

Michelle love the Ayana updates she is my benchmark for little A and Cafc with the milk monster that is Landen.

Oh dear, hope the growth spurt passes quickly for you. I couldnt actually feel my nipples towards the end! (Sorry, TMI). If she is anything like A I felt like she had reverted to a 3 week old, constantly feeding during the day and lots of get ups last night.

Sorry to hear about Alfie Sarah, hope he gets better soon. You too becles.

Well, strange night here. After A's late night antics last night (which we would love her to do in the future, dont mind her going bed late at the moment as its more quality time with daddy), she only had one get up at 4:30! :T However, I was in agony due to back pain (too much hoovering with a carpy vacume cleaner I think) and woke up at 2. AND... A would have slept in but I heard DH sneakily making noises over her cot to wake her up! lol

Off to the baby cinema today. :D And its cold but glorious here, not one cloud in the sky!
