EA; Have you tried GHD straighteners at all? They are a bit pricey, but my hair is so thick and they are the only things that work on it, I actually straighten it some days just to calm it down as its so so wild.

CAFC, those bags look like just pleats at the top and maybe one at the corners, but I can explain how that one works, like a gift bag?

Extreme breastfeeding programme is on. You guys have changed my mind about toddlers (and pre-schoolers) feeding but still I think at 7years it's taking it too far. (contraversial-me)

Along the BF line, I found these on eBay.

Evening ladies, I'm lurking but not really got much time for posting at the moment.

T had his first taste of baby porridge this evening and he loved it! He'll be having it again for breakfast tomorrow. I'm not sure how to guage how much he should have though as he ate everything I gave him and cried when it was gone! I've spent the evening pureeing carrots ready for his tea tomorrow. I can totally see why people BLW as I CBA doing this all the time! I'm going to look into it again when I get chance.

I'm out on Friday and have been really struggling with expressing. Got hardly any last night and then same again tonight...assumed either I wasn't producing enough or T was draining me...then I realised I didn't have the tube in fully doh!

Som - I think it was you who asked about swagbucks. I redeem whenever I have enough for an amazon voucher and then add it to my amazon account. My main reason being I want to make sure I've got them incase swagbucks go bust! I don't think they will but I'm very paranoid lol.

I'm off to ikea with my mum tomorrow. Is there anything I need while I'm there? :) My list so far consists of fleece blanket for T to play on, the giraffe building blocks that Alfie was having so much fun with, a nice big fluffy baby towel.

gill, i would say there's not actually much to 'look into' for BLW! It's just really giving baby 'normal' food cut into pieces they can pick up themselves. So don't puree the carrots, just chop into batons so their little fists can grab, etc. Very simple, really. Baby will eat when hungry, stop when full! ;)

hi susan  I love your pictures (an everyone else's too). The top photo of Alice reminded so much of Annabel!

so a gratuitous picture from me :D Taken last week.

Hugs to poorly babies and mummies and  to you all.

Good Luck Ayana on the competition.

my nephew came to see us today - he's so cute. Annabel loved him and was so concerned whenever he cried (every time I picke him up!). The big talking point in our house today though was counting. Annabel can now count from 1 - 10 unprompted all by herself. I'm so proud :D And the more I make a fuss and tell her she is a clever cookie she counts more and more loudly :rotfl:

ETA - actually I think the picture of Annabel and the one of Alice's second christmas is them both at approx the same age - 20 months?
Yes, Alice was twenty months. They have very similar hair.

Alice is always very concerned about babies crying - I have to keep telling her that it's okay and their mummies are looking after them.

    Morning

Pants night sleep and I still feel poorly, so I'm not going to work today.

Just put the bairns bed linen in the washing machine and Charlotte was looking out the window having a discussion with herself about the weather and if I'd get the sheets on the line today :rotfl:

Got a Tesco delivery coming this morning and I'm just going to potter about all day and hope I can shake this bug off.

Hope everyone has a good day xx
Here I go again on my own....

She's very sweet. One day last week when I stayed in bed late she decided to "look after" me by being a "Doctor". This involved covering me with "bandages" (aka handkerchiefs), listening to my chest with a "stethoscope" made of lego, giving me teddies to cuddle and giving me lots of kisses and cuddles.
