Schools are all down to numbers 3, they start with catchment + siblings, then catchment, then out of catchment with siblings by postcode, then out of catchement by postcode. So they input your postcode and work out who is closest. Children in care and with special needs take priority and shouldn't be included in numbers. Unless it's a church school then church attenders are supposed to get priority.
Too many children, too little time!!!

EA, while you're there, I saw on the cake thread that you bake with trex, is it better than stork then? I like stork but it seems to take a bit longer for the cakes to actually set in the middle.

KK - write a letter of complaint to practice manager..... she sounds like a total spack

Im tempted now with baby rice, but i dont have anything to sit him up in yet, so feeding him it is going to be a 'mare....

It's probably not recommended, but I used F's bouncy chair until my nice new highchair turned up today.

I only use the trex in the buttercream as it makes it white and not yellow. It also makes it that bit 'stiffer' so it doesn't flop down :)

Im out of trex and only asda seem to sell it, i bought something similar in Tesco but it makes the icing greasy _pale_

Does it not taste a bit funny though? I actually dont like the taste of buttercream, I find it too sickly, so if that makes it less sickly I'd be quite happy :rotfl:

CAFC - shame your not closer we have a load of the Hipp jars that MIL bought at the last Sainsburys baby event, even though she knops full well we are doing BLW! We will make use of the dessert type ones but the rest are taking up valuble cupboard space. I can recommend Organix T loved those when we first statede weaning.
Ask around your local church to see if they know of any foodbanks in the area... Babyfood is one of the things on our foodbank list :)
