Ask around your local church to see if they know of any foodbanks in the area... Babyfood is one of the things on our foodbank list :)

Good idea thanks, the playgroup I go to on Fridays is run bythe church so will ask there.

Which reminds me I wonder if DribbleKitten has had her LO yet? She was due last Thursday but bubs wasn't showing anysigns of wanting out when I saw her Friday. She was hoping LO would turn up on Sunday so birth date would be 10/10/10 :)

Your doing so well to get her to eat what you do, how did you get her to initially, just mushing up what you were eating? I know I am way off that stage but its nice to know!

Well we started by pureeing fruit and veg, she didn't really like baby rice.
Then we gave her carrot sticks, cut up apple, etc.

Now she will take anything and eat it, i usually eat an apple and leave some left and she eats it by scraping the apple off with her two teeth :rotfl:

She might just be a fatty though :p

I do know she hates courgette and doesn't really like sweet potato, i dont blame her. They taste like crap

  • Will be weaning Little Ava soon she is 17 weeks today but going to wait for a while longer. Going for homecooked mush, little bit of baby led weaning at family meals and jars when out and about. She has a snuffly nose today and can't feed very well. Has got herself in a temper with my boobie and has somehow given me a little white blister thingy which is quite painfull. Poor little mite sounds like Darth Vader.
Oh dear, hope she gets better soon. It makes me feel a little better knowing that others (CAFC too possibly?) are weaning around the same time as me. I went through the growth spurt- all 4 weeks of it, (hang in there CAFC!) and she's still a hungry !!!!!!, feeds every 2 hours at home and poss 3 when out, bed around 7/8 and still 2/3 full, very long, feeds during the night. Second night of baby rice and she polished the lot off, no spitting out and didnt struggle with the spoon. 2 more days and im giving her some homemade carrot and suede.
Ooh, Michelle... Is Ayana second in that competition? The baby underneath her is called Benjamin John... But not the one we all know...

Wooo! I know! All thanks to you lot too! :) Just 20 more days or so of voting to go... :o

He eats his hands, his bibs, muslins,my shoulder, his pushchair straps, everything goes in his mouth.....and gets chewed.... I thought maybe teething but i cant really see owt or feel anything either.....
    .....

Snap, you are decribing A. Had he started dribbling when you eat yet? :D Try and get out though, I was stuck in for 4 days (due to DH leaving pram at MIL) and it got me down so much, he will go a bit longer as he will be distracted. Im using her V pillow on the sofa to feed her, but then again, she hasnt been that messy.

We have the elle pouches too, all pure mush and no extra carp at all. DH bought them all of course, far too expensive for me. Im making my own!

Lovely pics Button, Keira looks just like snow white in that outfit!

Fab hair EA, love the colour. If you dont like the volume, some serum and the straighteners will work wonders.

Done lots of cleaning, front room, main bed and kitchen perfect- this includes polishing, sorting carp drawers/cupboards. Just baby room which has been taken over with all my paperwork and bathroom to do tomorrow. Feels much better but still disgusted at all the hair I gathered.

A woke up from her sleep so DH brought her down, we played with her for aaaaages, she was very giggly, just put her back now.

quick question - does anyone watch 71degrees north and know why it wasn't on this week? We got a silly Hugh Grant film instead? :rotfl: It was my japanese cookery class tonight as well. I made pork potato stew and king prawn fried rice. It was amazing. I really have got the cooking/baking bug agin after a period of 'downtime' for the last couple of months. It's great. I also caught jamie's new programme - 30 min meals - I was actually impressed - not easily done these days ;) ..........................

    Not my hair :rotfl:

Its so thick within an hour of straightening it, it just poofs again.

When i was pregnant with Lily, me and DH thinned out my hair so much and there was a huge pile of hair on the floor. But it still made no obvious difference

Yes - that's the stripey one I really liked. Can't remember what the third one looked like but I'm sure they came in threes.

It was a plain pink one with a small cat logo on.

They were excellent baby gro's. They always washed really nice and looked really fresh.

Oooh lovely hair EA. I really like it
