Our highchair turned up yesterday and F looks so small in it, I desperately want to take a photo of him but I lent my camera to my parents to take on holiday with them :(.
I thinkt hey make highchairs ridiculously big - when Alice stopped using hers, we still had the straps on the tightest setting and they were loose. This is two months before we stopped using it and you can see the straps are falling off her shoulders:

Geniune BLW question here, i just wonder how you know your baby is getitng enough food? I personally would worry they weren't getting enough food? That's why i feel more comfotprtable doing it the way i am, giving him his food every meal then i know for sure with that and his milk he is getting all the food he needs

Plus I just think some of the things we eat aren't suitable for e

Im not getting at anyone here, i am just curious

It's the same as with breastfeeding, you don;t *know* but you go with other signs such as nappies, how happy baby is, how they are in themselves etc. Remember milk has more nutrition in it than food and you wait for them to drop feeds so you know they are getting all they need in that. Food is just practice up until 1yr anyway, when, nutritionally they start needing more than milk can provide.

I didn't call it BLW as I didn't know about it with DD1, but she did it on her own. I couldn't be bothered to puree so I just fork mashed whatever we had, but DD had to do the spoon or else it wasn't allowed in :) After a few weeks I used to just give it to her whole as she ate better that way.

I think she was more than ready when we weaned at 5months 3 weeks, as she could sit unaided from 17 weeks, had teeth at 5 months and could use a spoon herself if we loaded it etc.

:rotfl: We used to keep the bikes in the kitchen in our old house. They're currants.

Thanks Aless...it's more that I want to make sure what I can/can't give him atm as he's still 2 weeks from 6 months.

Hahaha he did an epic poo this morning for DH...must be the result of last night's porridge!
As with most things the answer lies in post #2 ;)

:rotfl::rotfl:I thought you'd had E on a diet of deep fried mars bars and he'd suddenly become a squidgy fat baby! :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm a bit bored today. V is having a nap, everywhere is tidy and I don't even have any ironing to do.
