I have decided to start jogging/running. I'm going to be using the Couch to 5k podcasts to help (http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/index.html). I've never done anything like this before, I don't even like to walk to the shop :rotfl:
Sooo, anyone else want to join in? I'm doing my first run tonight, wish me luck
(Taken the list off since I haven't a clue who is or isn't running now)

I do, the podcasts I linked to gave me oneyou should pop them on your phone, one for each week. They start you off nice and slowly so that you get used to it.
I will be running on Tues, Thurs and Saturdays (although this Sat I will be busy so will have to do it on Sunday instead).
Good luckJust because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Hi there!
This looks good! I did a 5k and a 10k charity run last year (not in any great time, I hasten to add - just about got round lol) and I can't believe how out of shape I have got:o
Was thinking this morning I really want to get back into running again - and this looks like a gentle way to do it. I will try and sign up for the podcasts when I get home from work tonight.
Thanks for the heads up! :T And good luck for tonight:D

Oh. My. God. -dies-
Well, after my first run of 60 seconds I lost where I was on my ipod so after about 20 minutes of trying to find where I was I ended up starting again. Got a stitch to start with but that died off and was okay until the last 5 mins or so, oh my god, I'm dead now.
Feel good about having done it though and beats sitting about the houseI found lots of new places round about me too.
Lets just see how I feel tomorrow when I have to stand all day at work (I don't usually but there's an auction tomorrow so I'm on my feet).
Good luck everyone else!Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -

We are brilliant
I might be starting to believe this 'exercise makes you feel happier' theory.
I really need decent trainers to run in though, my heels are aching from mineJust because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
I'll join in.
I started in August but found it too hard in the heat so you have given me inspiration to start again.
I won't be starting til sunday (would explain why - lets just say womenly reasons!!!!lol)
I have joined the gym this week and have my induction on saturday. I'm not sure whether to use the podcasts on the treadmill or out at the riverside (its nice and flat there and at least the scenery is nice).
I'm also going to start swimming before work in the mornings.
I need to lose about 1 clothes size by december (I'm not sure how much weight that equates to - maybe someone else will know!!)
Anyways, looking forward to seeing how you all get on with the running!!!!
