Just back :) actually, it's not too bad in the rain, although my shiny new trainers are now all dirty! What a difference having a decent pair to run in, I really felt the difference and not just because they didn't hurt me :p

Today I went a different way, there were sheep and then a really dark road so I turned around because a car stopped and I got creeped out :rotfl:

Can't wait for my legs to ache again

Fantastic Drea- glad you got your shoes!

What I've found also is that running SOCKS make a big difference to foot comfort! They're quite pricey in running shops, but I got mine from Lidl when they were doing some specials of running gear. They also do similar specials in Aldi from time to time.

Webitha- it's really easy to download stuff, if I can do it anyone can. I bet your son can help you!

    I got these ones: http://www.jjbsports.com/womens-specialist-running-trainers/asics-patriot/prod_139916.aspx

I know everyone said to go to a specialist shop etc but I popped in on my way home from work and just decided to buy them. I tried on the different kinds, asics, new balance etc and decided these ones felt best on my feet and they were only £30 :D

Will have a look for socks next month, definetly spent more than I should already. Glad I got going again though :)

I love running in the rain !!!!! The only weather that I hate running in is wind, its blooming horrible !!!

As I've now I've joined you lot and got no excuses,I'll be going for my run later today.

Another gadget that is really great is the Nike Plus sensor, you need a ipod nano, but it records all the data from your runs - distance, time pace and even calories burned !!!! It costs £20 and you are supposed to use it with a pair of Nike running shoes, but its really easy to fit it into any pair of trainers.

Ah no ipod nano for me, I only have a shuffle. Sounds good though. I want to run again :rotfl: but I will follow the instructions and wait until tomorrow.

Is there any reason why I can't run more often? I'm really enjoying it and would quite like to do it more often but not sure if I'd just end up doing myself damage
