Back again! Can I just say that I agree 100% with Kathy re Donny-Gal(and anyone else having a good time right now. Please please Don't feel in any way guilty. It is FANTASTIC to hear about good things and nice to hear about some of our "family" having good expierences. Sadly, "Stuff" happens all the tiime some times we know in advance(illness etc) sometimes we don't. After what happened last Friday I think more than ever before we should sieze every moment. Try new things, enjoy the things we enjoy, ( and one for me) stop putting things off. If you want to ........dye your hair green, get a tattoo, ride a horse, take up naked morris dancing, have a pet goat that you want to call King Norman the 33rd............. Well JUST DO IT!!! This isn't a rehersal. Please never ever feel in any way bad about posting good fortune, happiness or luck. The general ebbs and flows of life are what (in my deranged opinion) make this place so special.
Have a good afternoon and try to stay dry!!! Annx xxx
I want to 'thank' you for this, but the button has disappeared, hmph. But this is an excellent post :):)

    Hello everyone!

I got off my backside and into the gym this morning -(especially as I haven't been this week) otherwise I sit at home snacking and feeling fed up - but if I go to the gym first thing then it does do me some good for the rest of the day!:D Plus I really should get back on track for losing another stone of weight, I've done one but have slipped abit on the next one!:o

Had my tap class yesterday (I love it!) it's abit hit and miss with who manages to turn up each week, but thats understandable with a new class - but with some persuading we have around 8 of us (on & off!). I'm the only one who has managed to go each week so far - now is that saying I'm boring and I have nothing else to do like the other mums??

Talking of prices going up, another thing this morning I found was the 4pk tinned asda tuna has now gone up to £2.75! originally £1.95, then £2.15)
I was very good with myself and didn't buy anything unnecessary! (especially as I have loads in the freezer to use up first!)

Swimming lessons later and chicken fajitas for tea tonite.

Aussielass - I never have anything interesting to post each day - so join the club:rotfl:
Pookie - Happy Birthday for yesterday, glad you enjoyed yr meal!
MrsMix - I went to see Colin Fry, he was good! you should enjoy it.
bargainrzl - You sound like your getting fed up with the ballet lessons?
jackieo - enjoy the archers and G&T - yes sometimes it is the smallest of things that give us pleasure.
kyle - hope your throat feels better soon.
catowen & all the other hussies - BIG WAVE!

(((anniestar & Poppy))) - Annie - your so right in seizing the moment! I haven't been horse-riding for years and I should do!! I don't know about morris dancing though;) :D

Went to Mass this morning and Father asked me, yes me, would I write out a detailed route planner (bus & train) from the islands to all the various hospitals   on the mainland so newcomers will know how to get there using public transport. I nearly laughed in his face. :D Hopefully do as I say and not do as I do will work. ;) I said I would look into it. :p

Anniestar, what a fabulous post, I totally agree with you - no-one should feel guilty for being happy and enjoying their life. The good thing about this board is that we are all there for each other, through good and bad times :T

Have to go now, need to find a naked Morris Dancing group to join :rotfl:

    Hello to everyone ,
Hugs to those who need them today. I had to laugh ay OH this morning. He normally uses evap milk in his cereal in the mornings, and told me that he had bought Carnation condensed milk by mistake, however when I looked in the fridge the idiot had opened a tin of Carnation Rice Pudding instead :D .
Think that will be pudding for tonight. I also had a use up time last night, as tea for tonight is a mixture of smokey bacon pasta sauce, carrots, onions, spuds, BBQ chicken (reduced) and chopped up gammon ham (needed using). I chucked this all in the slow cooker, and it now smells and tastes divine. I'm going to serve it with garlic bread (reduced).
I also got my family railcard through this morning, so should be able to plan some cheap days out during the summer hols. I found a link on hotdealsuk.com for a railcard for twelve pounds instead of twentyfour pounds, and if you get it on line there is a code for a free Youth Hostel membership (worth about twenty pounds ish?).
Anyhow, I'd better go and get my house sorted, as I'm hoping to get my shower fixed by the landlord. Have a good day everyone.

    Hello everyone

Anniestar, I've got to totally and absolutely agree with the sentiment of your post. I'll let you start the naked Morris dancing club. Send a pic when you do:rotfl:

PoppyOscar, well with reference to Anniestar's post you're at one of life's lows, and obviously so is your OH. At least you know where he is and that he has people who care about him around him. Sometimes it takes a real shocking event for loved ones to actually realise how bad things are. I hope that your OH gets the care and attention he needs and deserves.

Shez...you went to the gym, OMG! Go on, book yourself a horse-riding lesson, even if it's just for half an hour. But don't go naked, please.

My day today, consists of job hunting (there are quite a few opportunities so I'm not in a panic just yet!), and this afternoon I'm off to do an IT test which I think will be on databases and spreadsheets. The last time I used either of those was about a year ago when I did the same test for the same organisation, and luckily I passed it then (though failed the interview). It would have been impossible for me to have done this test had I still been working, so fingers Xed for me that I can actually muster my brain cells and get through it.

BargainRzl, well a sarcastic "thank you very much, Madam" to you!! Jones the Bootmaker (my favourite shoe shop in the whole world) has no outlets over here in N.Ireland, but your link brought me to their "Shop online" section. And here's me with no job. I saw sandals, some walking type shoes, and some nice low heels for when I do get a decent job.... I can't wait until I am drawing a salary again so that I can indulge! Actually, I might just get a pair of shoes now anyway, while they are cheap in the sale.....

AussieLass, maybe the priest thinks that the islands are over-populated and he has a cunning plan to get numbers down:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Elona - a tip I sometimes use for horrible heels is to smother them very thickly in moisturiser and put on a pair of socks, then go to bed. Going to bed is optional - I've done this and gone to w*rk and when I got home my feet were much improved.

Toodle Pip everyone, gotta go and put some slap on before I go for my test.

    Bye

Poppy - So sorry to hear what you are going through. Look after yourself and remmeber that its alright to take time out to be sad.

Rzl - love those shoes, shame they didn't fit :(

JackieO - I bet you are looking forward to the weekend. I'll be thinking of you over the next few days and sending you lots of good luck vibes

Mioliere - I didn't relaise that you used to be a nurse - but I would have put money on it. Hope that you enjoy your short return :D

Well we had a lovely morning. We went for our scan and it was amazing. the little bump looked a little like a bean crossed with an alien and was dancing about like no-ones business. It would stay still enough to be measured at first!!! And we saw a very strong heartbeat which was reassuring. The sonographer was great and we got to take away a couple of pictures, though Hubbie was a bit like rachel in the friends episode asking what was what when we got home

I've also felt really well today - eating lots of fruit and bread and even managed a blueberry muffin as a treat. fingers crossed this is the turning point......

House is in alright state and so hopefully can make it presentable for the weekend. Have bought some fresh veg to make roasted veg for dinner.

off to catch up around the rest of the site now - hugs to all xxx
