Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
I have not made it on for a few days as been too busy.
I managed to see my son off in London and spend the day up there. Can't say I would want to live there mind,.... far too busy. There must have been 1000 of us crammed into a tube train.
Work took over when i got back as it was super busy again.
But I have 2 days left and then a week off...
My son is having a great time in USA and off to see Mt Rushmore next week on a road trip with the family he is staying with.... lucky for some...
Hope you all have a nice day ahead....

Morning everyone
OH made an attempt to take his own life the night before last. He took an OD. I’m not even on the same continent. I texted his cousin who found him and got him to hospital. It’s not the same as here. They sent him home 7 hours later.
I don’t know what else to tell you except it’s over between us – he thinks he’s ‘no good for me’. He’s right of course – with his illness the cruel and unforgivable things he said to me the night it happened mean that there was probably no going back. I would have been scared to go there on my own now anyway. My head knows that is what must happen. My heart is taking some convincing. He has been the centre of my world for the last 15 months.
PO xx

OUCH! I am sorry to hear that. I deal with things like that but from my armour plated stance, not from within. I hope you can work through it...NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

Good Morning
Poppyoscar ((((hugs))) sorry to hear your news, at least he has family there. I know it is hard for you but we are all here for you.
Early start for me today as we have a meeting this morning with our main client. Not looking forward to this at all, the man is not a nice man, it is a massive blue chip company but we only get to deal with him. Oh well we will know we where we stand later. Lots up in the air with our business at the moment looks like we need to advertise for 1 or 2 more drivers, I hate doing that as we normally take on people from word of mouth.
Anway will get that over and done with and enjoy the sunshine for the rest of the day, have promised to take DS and his friend down the beach later. Its a lovely beach miles from anyway so there are no ice cream kiosks or anything around - very peaceful.
Not sure what is for dinner tonight, cant do what is on the menu plan as wont have the time, something out of the freezer I guess.
Off now, (((hugs))) for anyone who needs one.

hugs for poppyoscar, and reading the end of yesterday's thread some for grannybroon and pennypincher too. I am conscious there are so many of us going through a rough patch just now, and I hope we all have good times soon.
today it's work for me. schedule isn't too bad so hopefully won't be too busy.
tonight breaded chicken for tea. might have a wander round the shops at lunch time. need to start thinking about what I need for our holiday which is coming up soon.x x x0 -
Morning
((( hugs ))) Poppyoscar, I can't offer any advice, but like everyone on here, I am sending you lots of virtual support x
Dry and bright here today, so have pegged out some washing, and have changed the bed, so now have the washer on again. We go away on Saturday, so I am trying to get everything washed before we go.
Nipping to Home Bargains and Aldi later, and we have an Aldi chicken and leek pie for dinner. Not very OS, but nice and easy
Probably won't have time to post tomorrow as I have DGD and have to be there for 7.30, so a  in advance.
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Howdy folks
OH is feeling a bit tender after his tooth extraction. Bless him. Other than that we had a good day yesterday as he took the midget out on a few occasions and I had some peace. Very rare thing that...have to grab it when I can.
For the first time I have attempted to make some marmalade (lemon and lime). Out of 1lb of sugar and 1 pint of water it got....1 jar. Thought I'd get a bit more than that, but hey live and learn. Its a gift for my mum anyway and she's worth it afterall. I gave OH a bit to try and he loves it....so with a bit of luck she will too. Now I just need more fruit. OH started talking about blackberry....told him if he can find any I'll make it.
Sister also called with an idea for mum for her birthday...so that is sorted with little effort. Its great of her to do these things for me, and I'm lacking in the car department and so can't get anywhere. Besides brain died when I tried to think of something for her this time.
Today me and the monster are off to toddlers, so she'll have a good time. Then we will go to the library to sort her books out. Nexts its the health food shop for my cheap local eggs. Finally to Tescos to have a look at a birthday cake (my contribution).
Hugs to all who need them.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -

oh Poppy, how dreadfull for you, depression is a terrible illness, you must be feeling dreadfull, but I think the thing to do (hard as is it) is to think of yourself now, you must make sure you are ok. Hugs to you xx
Off to w**k again today, lots to do, we are getting ready for a big party for our volunteers, so I am trying to sort out the food etc, quite nice really.
