That will look good in the tribunal, for you.

Just shows you how they feel about me I am not even worth turning up for a meeting they planned.

Hopefully tribunal will tear them apart now.

    Do not take it personally.

loads of employers have real problems when they are faced with staff who challenge them, even those they previously thought were the bees knees. You are supposed to know your place and not rock the boat.

    Hiya richie

I'm right behind what you're doing. I just want to be Mrs Ultra-cautious here... :o

Maybe you should edit your posts about what happened today? I know you haven't given away much information about your situation, but those details about today could be just enough to identify you, if the wrong person was lurking.

I'm afraid I've seen it happen before on other sites. It's amazing how much information we give away about ourselves without realising it.

I don't want to be a party pooper or anything like that, but I've seen people have to 'leave' sites because they posted something apparently innocuous, but which only applied to them, or a few others, and WHAMMO!!...

    Sorry for the downer :(

rich mans world. Good luck. I went through a tribunal and it is very very stressful. Even with all the evidence on your side. I would think very carefully what you want out of going to a tribunal. It is a myth that you get big payouts. there is a limit even in discrimination and such cases.

I was awarded quite a good payout following my sex discrimination case, but was nowhere near the amounts that people get in the papers. And I got diddly squat cos he did a runner and put his company into administration. Not suggesting for a minute that will happen to you, but just a cautionary tale.

  • Meeting went well I could see from there faces that they where shocked, They kept asking me to confirm stuff as if they couldnt believe what has happened.

They said they would let me know whats happening in a few weeks.

They know I am going to tribunal so they should at least take me seriously.

  • Help needed

I got a letter from ACAS about the conciliation service they offer seems a good way to go through this and save the expense and hassle of a tribunal.

They have asked me to think of what I want to settle this.

Can anyone give me an idea of what I should go for?

Or anywhere I can get info on average payments

    Thanks again all

Your solicitor should be able to give you some idea of payments you are likely to get.

Were you dismissed? What is your grievance - unfair dismissal??? I was found to be unfairly dismissed and was awareded a statutory payment for unfair dismissal (not much) I was awarded the difference in my salary for the length of time it took to go to a tribunal (twelve months and I had to take the first job that came along with lower pay). I was also awarded a payment for the emotional distress that came with being dismissed whilst on maternity leave. This is automatically raised by 50% in sex discrimination cases which mine was. You need to look at what you have lost and how this case has affected you. You will need to prove this distress in court and believe me it is not easy.
