lloks like some tesco's may get some light fingered visitors soon!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
I think, if you're a victim of an assualt you can claim for compensation from the Government if you don't know who the attacker was. I know someone who was out one night and got beat up by a bunch of lads. No one had a clue who they were but the victim got awarded money. If you know who did it, and they got prosecuted then you'd have to claim compensation from the attacker.
The Police should have given you a cica form explaining.,and photographed you.0 -
OP there must be another side to your story. Just a few questions:
1. Did you after the assault need to go straight to A&E?
2. Where the police notified immediately?I'm not cynical I'm realistic

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!!! :rotfl:
er... what's Dave got to do with it? I'm out the loop. :sad:There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Sorry, there's a guy called Dave on here that appears on many threads simply to say "DEMAND COMPENSATION" I thought he'd appreciate what you said.
lol.. I did have a feeling it'd be something like that as I know how people react when 'compensation' appears in a thread. I felt as though I was walking into the lion's den when I typed that. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. I've worked in shops with no cctv so this Tesco might not have any either.
I don't see how Tesco can protect people from random attacks?
I can't see what the complaint against Tesco is other than the fact everyone blames supermarkets for everything because its the easy option.0 -
Well, thanks to those who've given useful advice. Yawn to those who've just aimed to put their best bait out.
Received a call tonight to say that they've managed to track the guy down and have made an arrest. And he's admitted everything so hopefully with any luck I'll manage to get it sorted soon.
Still not happy with Tesco though.DONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society

I agree with hollydays comments about the possibility of you having been identified as a habitual r&r customer. I know that in the stores around me, staff do often transfer, so your reputation may have followed you.
Are you seriously suggesting that staff in this store, either acting alone or in a group, destroyed vital evidence of a serious criminal attack, or alternatively told barefaced lies to the police about the existence of such evidence, as some kind of retribution for the fact that the OP availed himself of free goods under the store's advertised policy nearly two years ago?
Don't you think that's a conspiracy theory too far?0
