Unprovoked assault in Tescos, No CCTV, No Security, No help at all

Nope, it was a store I've never been to before (Well, I have been there once before about 6 years ago) -I was visiting friends and stopped in to pick some things for a BBQ!

I have to say, you're coming across as extremely judgemental, as if you're suggesting it is my fault.

Just because you didn't know the store,don't be sure they weren't aware of who you are,if you have had a lot of confrontation with another store over R & R ,they probably share photos of troublesome r & r people (not saying you were one but,it's just a thought.)

How could I know whos fault it was?

Write a letter to the Tesco head office at the very least complaining about the service from your store. Then follow up with the police asking about cctv coverage of the car park. Obviously the person who attacked you thought you had upset them in someway (cutting in to a space - parking in parent and toddler with no kids?) If you can spot your car entering the car park it might give more clues.

Ask for the imagery of you under the data protection act anyway even just for satisfaction in knowing they have to go through all the footage.

All good ideas, but they've already asked about car park coverage, and there was none. Also, I wasn't even driving that day - I was there with a friend who had driven, he witnessed it happen (although didn't see him coming). Our trip to the carpark was completely uneventful.

I'll state bluntly what hollydays has been trying to say very politely:

There are always two (or in this case three) sides to a story.

We are just trying to get a full picture of the situation.

I agree with hollydays comments about the possibility of you having been identified as a habitual r&r customer. I know that in the stores around me, staff do often transfer, so your reputation may have followed you.

Did you get the name and address of any other potential witnesses who may be able to testify? If you don't get any joy with the CCTV.

I've never heard this term before and inquiring minds want to know
