Ooh and Karma I hope you've got something nice planned for those apples!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

That might be a good idea for today - can't be at the computer for too long, I ended up working quite hard yesterday, and my head was killing me again, v sick feeling, blah blah - mending now, but I'm going to get off the computer again, to be on the safe side. See you later.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Aww Karma :grouphug: Wish I could do the same today and not be in front of a computer all day.. was awake for a few hours during the night worrying about, well, everything. Lots of work to do though so better get on.
Catch you all later xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I'm good now! Been tidying and then cleaning, in the kitchen and the living room - my god it needed it! Had to come back on to send an email, am about to hop off again. Sorry you had a sleepless night - things are very tough for you, I know - lots of hugs to you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Glad you're feeling better. And thanks for the hug. Things are tough, yes, but partly (well, mostly) my own stupid fault.
Oh well, on the good side, I realised that my mobile contract was up for renewal and have managed to get £15 a month off for the next year by keeping my existing phone. Now if I can just stay within my allowance... but at least it's £15 less whatever I do.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
£15! Thats great! And you don't actually *need* a new phone, in all probability, even if they are jazzy, so its a painless save! I always like those (like my water bill).
I sat out in the garden very briefly after I'd made my coffee ... it really made me think. I'm going to have to get going with the trading, so I can knock the mystery shopping on the head (mostly) and get going with the garden instead.
Plus ... next door's lonely Burmese was there (the older one has migrated to another house) ... he was pushing his nose into my hand, narrowing his eyes and purring, so I was able to stroke him from his nose up to the top of his head... lovely. He has a bell on, so altho he's a good hunter, he doesn't (can't) kill anything. That cat made my cats' lives a misery when they were alive, but he is lovely, and now mine are gone .... well, he's the most accessible one to stroke! Happy KC ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

This is not eye-strain due to your glasses/contacts not being right is it?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I don't wear any, thanks, Z - I meant to say earlier, I've had a couple of eye tests in the last few years (after 20 years without!) to get freebies from Nectar points or Tesco deals - both of them have said what I originally knew, I have one eye thats longsighted and one eye thats shortsighted, which is why I still don't need glasses, even tho I'm in my 50s. I really do think its staring at the computer screen for too long - I've got the CO2 detectors up, so its not that. But thank you for checking!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Ahh that sounds lovely Karma - you can't beat a bit of cat therapy! And you're right about the phone, I actually really like the one I've got, it's a bit scruffy, but it works fine.
Glad to hear the carbon monoxide detectors aren't showing anything nasty.
In other news, friend has promised to give me back £20 she owes me on Friday so that should make things a bit easier next week!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Yes, even though your eyes compensate for each other, it basically means you're seeing 2D at any one moment in time. That can lead to eyestrain especially when your "correct" eye is having to work for hours at a time - like staring at a monitor.
Glasses aren't a bad thing you know. Even if you can get by without them."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
