Hmm, I need to dig out all the paperwork anyway as I'm not convinced that the amount they've quoted is correct. What a pain.
The plan with the cards is to get card, glue and maybe glitter from cheapie shop, and use pictures from magazines (and some kept from last year's cards) to make my own designs. Probably not much cheaper than buying but just fancied doing it.
Thanks for the reminder about pound shop toilet roll - my local one often has packs of 6 for £1 which are pretty good quality.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
You could always stick some piccies on the loo roll as pressies, cheap, practical, useful and recyclable.:D :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Being a bit lazy again today, have hoovered and put some washing on, and that's about it. Got up late, and it's raining, and I generally can't be bothered doing much else!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Aww Bob. I should make some effort to get some fresh air.. but I'd prefer if the fresh air wasn't wet :rolleyes:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Ooh, the fresh air was *really* wet down here - I got caught in one lot, but I was on the bus for the other. Unfortunately, I saw a horse and rider caught out in that one, which was v v bad, and the horse was panicking, really near to an 'A' road, I hope it was okay.
I love the toilet roll, by the way! And squizz, I'd have been inside today if I could've, its been alternately throwing it down and blowing a gale, I feel sorry for those elderly people outside at the Remembrance Day services.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Poor horse, I don't blame it!
Decided to go out for a quick walk as was feeling very fuzzy headed - it was.. bracing! Well, to be honest, I got soaked and had to change my clothes when I got in, but I feel much better and justified in having coffee and chocolateI also did a bit of foraging, found a load of windfall apples (note to self, take plastic bag out in future, a handbag full of wet apples is not a good thing :rotfl:)

redsquirrel80 wrote: »Gosh, how did I forget my bit of debt-related news  Got home last night to a form from court for one of my debts, which was previously with DCA, then a few months ago they wrote to me and informed me that they were no longer dealing with it, with no explanation of who was! Suppose I should have chased it up, but I now have this form saying that I can make an offer for monthly payments to this other DCA. It says if I don't offer to pay then judgement will be entered against me, so am thinking that I don't actually have a CCJ (unless I refuse to pay, which I won't).. not that it really matters because my credit rating is non-existent as it is.
Squirrel! Go to the Post Office tomorrow, get your £1 P O and send it off with the CCA request. Fill in the Court response and tell them that they have not provided you with a CCA as per the relevant act ( we all know the drill by now ). As Z said....do you owe the money to these bloodsuckers? NO.
They rely on this sort of thing happening.
Rant over....Hi Squizzer:D
