I haven't watched it yet, have it saved on sky +. Looks like you managed some sleep then, a whole 12 hours. I am getting there slowly..i reckon it helps that i keep walking, the theory is that if i shatter myself out i will have to sleep..so managed 9 hours last night..and hoping to get to bed early tonight as well.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi Bobster.. yep I can sleep at the weekends it seems! Actually wasn't too bad last night so hopefully it's settling down a bit. Hope it gets better for you tooDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

That's a good sign, I think! Although in that case, don't watch 'Pan's Labyrinth' just before bed, I had some weird dreams last night :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Another boring Monday... managed to get a few surveys etc done but quite fed up at sitting doing nothing all day then coming home to do more nothing. So looking forward to tomorrow when I'm out at the class again, I think I need to find something to do on another evening during the week - not sure what though, had a quick look round and everything I fancied was on a Tuesday too! Oh well at least I haven't resorted to the wine!! A couple of days of no alcohol and relatively healthy food and I feel physically better, am attempting to cut back on caffeine a bit too, as that's one of the things that's different at the weekend - I drink less tea - and am wondering if it's contributing to the sleeping problems.
Hmm, 7pm and it's dark, this is not good for running in the evenings- I might have to start getting up early :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Monday!! I have been neglecting my diary. Not had much to report this week really. Spanish class on Tuesday, went well again, been doing quite a bit of reading myself too, still with an eye on the translation course for next year. Still not sure if I'm being a bit unrealistic there but I guess it will still be a useful skill to have.
Work has been dull dull dull - should be busier next week though, thank goodness. Been taking advantage of the time to do some surveys etc, though that all seems a bit slow at the moment.
Money-wise, things are not great but not desperate! Can't figure out if the cheque for my evening classes has been cashed which is making things a bit difficult. Only thing I've really spent on this week has been food, gone a bit overboard with that but it could be worse. Got the trip to France at the end of next month all booked (found incredibly cheap hotel which looks VERY basic but it'll do). Not sure if weekend away with OH is going to happen as, well, I'm not the only one who's finding money tight at the moment. Maybe early next year instead, we'll see.
Only other money-saving type news is that I picked the last of the veg from the garden - garlic, some small onions and some very tiny potatoes. Am making pickled onions and also some pickled cucumber with a couple of reduced ones I picked up last night.
Off to a wedding reception tonight (someone from work), it's at a rather posh hotel so should be nice - I don't expect to drink much as apparently the prices are extortionate. Still not decided what to wear so suppose I should go and have a look through the wardrobe....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I think i can be accused of the same squizz.
I am orf to a party tonight and have the cake all made. Beans are glaring at me to be picked and i am praying that the courgettes which have decided to have a mad one on, will keep growing!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ooh a Bob cake!
Any pics?
Am not sure if I'll bother with the veg growing next year, it's hardly been worth it for the amount of effort/ cost of seeds - quite satisfying but frustrating as well, especially with the weather.
ps I have looked in wardrobe, found a dress and gone "that'll do".. might change my mind before this evening though!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
