Redsquirrel's 'Striving For Better Days' Diary

Thanks Bob, not really to be honest, keep putting off going to bed cos I can't face lying there stressing, I need to somehow break the cycle.
First evening class tonight, really nervous and being tired doesn't help, if I wasn't paying for it I probably wouldn't go, in fact I'm still tempted to hide under my duvet instead. But then I'd hate myself for being so pathetic, so I will go but urgh I really don't feel like it.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Good luck for tonight i like new classes personally, and i reckon you will have a ball.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Did you enjoy it? I went years ago and it was quite good fun, wouldn't mind having another go but babysitting etc...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

It was great Skint, everyone else is at a pretty similar stage of 'rustiness' so we got on well (a lot of them did the same course last year but didn't feel ready to move on to advanced level so are doing it again!). Our teacher was pretty nervous too as it was her first time doing the course, so that kind of helped to break the ice, and she has some really good ideas to make it fun. Really enjoyed it, I can't believe I was being such an idiot about going - there were points today when I'd convinced myself I wouldn't go

That's a very good point - I might have to write that out and stick it up somewhere! Hmm, things I've tried and hated.. job interviews, tinned mushroom soup, netball... but not much really. I've always loved languages, I was just scared that everyone was going to be really serious and more advanced than me.. but they aren't, especially not serious:rotfl:
