No, I didn't know that - wow! Same phenomenon exactly, it all comes flooding back, and how interesting about the crossover effect of flute playing and running! I like that. You must have been good to do music at college, its so competitive - lovely to take it up again.

Hmm, I was good enough to do it at college, but not good enough to do it professionally, that's where it gets really competitive. I probably could have been technically good enough with enough practise, but you really need to be tough and confident to get anywhere. As for enough practise, going to college coincided with discovering life, going out, alcohol, the male of the species, and all sorts of other things, so I didn't do as much as I should have done :o Still, I got my diploma, and it was a worthwhile experience (not all good by any means, which is partly why it's taken me so long to come back to it). I'm stunned at how expensive sheet music is these days though, it always was but blimey!!! Have found a few sites online with a few bits and pieces to download though, just have to do a bit of sneaky printing at work ;)

  • Sheet music is expensive, wish i had saved more of mine in all honesty as my nephew has just started playing and my kids have all stopped.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Excellent! That sounds nice - I've had the class yesterday, tidying up after the builder today, and a walk round the block to admire the sunset, and I have a little bottle of wine I didn't drink when I was on holiday - so imagine a virtual mate sitting by you!
