Am really touched about the trip to be honest, it was quite unexpected :o

I think it's time for bed for me.. I keep finding things in strange places round the flat

    Night night! xx

  • Morning - sober now! :o :rotfl: Surprising lack of hangover as well! Have picked up the strangely placed items (any idea why one of my shoes was in the bathroom and the other one in the living room?) and the flat is nice and tidy so no housework today! :D

Might make that trip to Aldi after all, although I don't really need a huge amount of food... and then do some batch cooking later on.

Isn't it funny when you examine the after effects of a hangover? Enjoy the trip to Aldi!

Been to Aldi - was a bit further than I thought and I didn't have lunch before I went so a bit knackered and shaky when I got in :o Not sure it's worth the trip on its own - some things are cheaper but others (e.g. toilet roll) aren't. But it is close to the 'big Tesco' so might be worth combining the two in future.. if I can carry it all! Anyway, spent £7.71 and got toilet roll, shower gel, 1kg onions, 7 apples, cereal, 2 tins tuna, 1 tin sardines, jar olives, and 1kg spaghetti.

One of the onions and most of the apples have gone in with the homegrown beetroot from my parents to make chutney which is bubbling away at the moment, smells lovely - shame the kitchen looks like I've killed someone :rotfl:

Blah.. feel a bit rubbish this morning, had an early night but couldn't sleep and ended up back online/ reading etc still about 2am. Was having a general worry about stuff, mainly money... I really need to turn the energy into something productive but feel like just hiding away from everything at the moment.

Oh well, at least my chutney turned out well...

  • Does my spam email somehow know how I feel? NO MORE adverts for bad credit loans.. pleeeeease!

In better news, I got the forms through to apply for charity place for the marathon so have sent them off - just waiting to hear back now.

  • Energetic person you! I haven't made any chutney yet but am taken with adding ale to it..for extra flavour.
