Hey up young squizz..where's the gossip huh?
How did the wedding go?
Did you survive the rellies? ( relatives)
anything else?????Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hello Bob - they've been making me work hard today so not had time for a proper update!
Wedding was absolutely lovely and only nice relatives turned upWas really nice to see them all, very emotional on the actual day, very proud of my cousin, her and now hubby make the most wonderfully loved up couple... though the whole thing made me feel quite old as well (and ever so slightly jealous)!
Pretty tired - got back last night and straight back to work this morning. On a DFW note I didn't spend any money at all, and in fact got the money back for stuff I bought for parents so my total left has gone up! Got back to find a letter from a new DCA for one of my debts, original one has passed it on to someone else for some reason, not quite sure what to do there as I've just paid original one?!
Few things to sort out once I wake up a bit - mainly what to do about evening classes and to get on with the extra money raising...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
All good then. I would write to this DCA with proof of payment to other DCA, or even better write to the original company and basically ask what is going on? And who should you send monies too?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks Bob, I think I'm going to write to Cahoot (b****** flexible loan) and see what's going on.
Forgot to do a grocery challenge update earlier - currently using up bits and pieces that parents left behind, plus they brought me some homegrown beetroot, peas and beans so I have some shelling, chopping, cooking etc to do!
Apparently it's 115 days to Christmas, so I have about 65p per day left!! :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Is that 'Cahoot' or 'Christmas'? :rotfl:
I wouldn't normally talk about either too much - just with the GC running till Christmas I suppose I have to keep an eye on it.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Well i suppose it could be both, and i now see what you mean about the GC challenge..bit slow on the uptake at times!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Yaaaaaaaaawn... had a lazy night but still really sleepy. Got a bit of a shake on the way to work as some idiot ran in front of the bus I was on, just as I was standing up to get off, driver slammed his brakes on and I got thrown halfway up the bus, managed to grab onto something so I didn't end up on the floor but feeling a bit bruised!
Moneywise.. managed to buy my dad's birthday pressie for a couple of quid thanks to Amazon vouchers. Naughty this morning though and haven't brought any lunch with me, so have to splash out on that.
Lots of work to do this morning, better get on.. after another cup of teaDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Morning redsquirrel hope you aren't too bruised after your bus incident.

Thanks Doodle, little bit achy in places but OK!
As for work - so much to do, mainly cos of other people's incompetence!! Also been getting 'essential' IT work done which has caused lots of interruptions.. ho hum...
Been pondering for a while about joining the local council gym but thinking I'd be better to go to the one at work which is free, can go two evenings a week and I think I'm more likely to go if I'm right on the doorstep. The only downside is no swimming pool, and no classes that I want to do... but in my current financial state I don't think I can really justify the £23 a month for the council one.
Also need to decide what to do about the Spanish classes - I've found an online one which is only £25, instead of the £55-60 for the evening classes, though the classes would mean more speaking practice and meeting people. The online place is based in Manchester though and they do sometimes do social events and one off day courses so might be worth looking at.
Final decision to be made - there's a night out with work on Friday, can't make my mind up whether to go to that or not. Hmmm...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
