Oh, I *did* catch up after your Spanish! Sorry - my brain is like a sieve at the mo. More classes in the offing, tho, for bubbles this time - hope you find something you fancy, bubbles.

    Ooh yes you did!

Trying to think about the longer term, have found a translation course that starts in Feb, so need to save up for that one. Also have sort-of plans for visiting a couple of Spanish speaking countries next year ;)

Still no word back on the debt stuff - am quite willing to pay if they would only tell me WHO to pay! In the meantime, need to try and get into the extra money making a bit more seriously this month, especially if I want to meet my 10 month target by the end of November...

  • Aw Bubbles, we know what you mean! Have you had any more thoughts yet, something like a few IT courses might be a good place to start? Anything is good to get you back into the way of studying though!

Well, I managed to have possibly the most expensive night out I think I've ever had last night, but mainly because it involved a train fare, lending a friend some money so she could go out (will get that back soon and I don't mind at all cos I hadn't seen her for ages), and gave OH some as well as he doesn't get paid till next week. To be honest, it's usually me who's borrowing or having my drinks bought for me, so it was nice to be able to help other people out for once. Oh and to visit Burger King at midnight and stuff my face with rubbish :D Anyway, it was a really good night, and I had a major lie in this morning.. well, er, afternoon! :o

Feel a bit fed up today, bit of the usual post-night out thing plus hangover.. I also realised that I had a glass of wine or two every night last week, something like 8 or 9 days in a row, and it really isn't good for my mood or general tiredness. So that's got to be knocked on the head - it isn't good for the budget either! Am struggling a bit with the onset of dark evenings as well, am not good with winter. I've been useless with the running this week as I've felt cr*p, but I really need to get out there and hopefully get those endorphins going.

Money-wise, things are OK despite the expensive night out, will just have to be a little bit more careful for the rest of the month.

Aha! That was your 4am bedtime that you mentioned! Glad you enjoyed it so much, but yes, those levels of alcohol when you don't usually are going to bring you down in the end, sad to say. But it is fun doing stuff like that that you're not used to, isn't it? And great that you've grown to the extent that *you're* the one lending money sometimes!

The dark evenings are tough, aren't they? I like snuggling up, but at the moment, its not like that, we haven't had enough summer to feel good about snuggling - and half the time I'm thinking/doing about debt anyway, not much fun.

Anyway, it should be good today - get out there in the sun while you can!

  • Hello! Yes it was nice to have a bit of an indulgent post payday week, but time to get back to being careful and only having the occasional drink. Feel a bit better today after a night on the orange juice and about 12 hours sleep!! Not sunny here though, looks like it's rained overnight, but planning to get out for a run late evening before tea.

Hmm yes, I like certain things about winter, like snuggling up all cosy and wearing nice jumpers and scarves.. :D But yep, we want more summer first!!

  • Back to work.. yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn!

Had quite a good day yesterday, went for a run (bit of a struggle but at least I got out there), then walked into town to get a birthday present for a friend. Had a £10 Waterstones voucher so managed to get a book and a card in there for the grand total of 28p (and got 30p worth of points on my loyalty card in the process so effectively 2p up :D). Bought some bits and pieces of food (must update sig) then spent the afternoon cooking Greek-style roast lamb, doing my "homework" for evening class and some extra Spanish reading. Then I watched 'Pan's Labyrinth' and tried not to look at the subtitles!

Bit of work today but trying to sneak some surveys etc in too ;)

I wondered about watching that, but I sneaked on here instead. Was it good?
