And why is it that they all clean up after themselves, yet bathroom a pigsty?
One of God's little mysteries:rotfl: :rotfl:
:rotfl:
My bathroom has a bit of a case of black mould I'm afraid, I get a lot of condensation in the flat in general and I think it being all closed up while I was away for a fortnight has let it 'grow'.. not pleasant, and much scrubbing to be done.
I'm planning a really good tidy up.. and then my parents are staying here for a night next week and will leave a trail of destruction behind them.. oh well!:rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

We get that as well, maily because MR.B has shower on for ages, then doesn't open window after in case delicate little tooties freeze:rotfl:
I baby sterilising solution..neat on tiles and painted walls. Dilute if it is paper, but then again if on paper wont matter much, due to mould:cool: wash off after leaving for about 5 mins.
Teatree oil afterwards is nice for smell as well.
Good luck with parents..if flat spotless then they may have to clean up after themselves..mine always used to mess up in mine and siblings houses, because they reckon it is revenge for years of messy kids:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I usually use bleach (on the walls, not the parents). Just went through to inspect the task and hadn't realised how damp it had got, pulled at a bit of loose paint and a huge strip came off.. oopsAh well, it gives me something to get stuck into, I was going to ask landlady if I could paint anyway!
You could be right about revenge, I was a seriously messy teenager!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I was the tidy one, all my brothers and sister were very messy..i used to hate them for it...but mum is very messy, so i reckon they got it off her!
I would re paint it as well..hope your landlady agrees.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

- send off cheques for debts and rent - tomorrow
- print off forms for evening classes - done
- Tesco shopping (need to write a list)- done
- change all the lightbulbs that have gone in my flat! - had a drink so thought it might not be wise to stand on a table
- dye hair - done
- do any surveys that come in - done
- do daily clicks - done!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Well done on the list! And sympathies on the yuck bathroom. Mine is also in that condition - nasty hard water condensation carp on the tiles, and hopefully my builder is coming round on Wednesday, so it may be seen - I *have* to get it cleaner than it is.
Also well done to not standing on a table after a drink - even one can be too much for that. Couple of years ago, I was changng some bulbs for my mother, and she was really nervous about me standing on a chair for some reason (!!!!!!?!!! it was ten in the morning!) and she was *pulling* at my shirt at one side - very offended when I told her she was making an accident more, not less likely! Mothers..... !2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Morning!
Am just pondering the light bulb in the living room and thinking I might wait till I have a taller person in my house and get them to do it - it's a bit of a stretch even with the table. We'll see...
Had a good sleep and just about to pop up to the PO, and also buy some stamps and some rubber gloves for the great housework extravaganza. Don't think I'm going to go over to my friend's, I really feel like I could do with some sorting out and resting time, and it'll take a big chunk out of my weekend. I'll catch up with her at some point, you never know she might even come and visit me as promised ages ago, instead of it always being the other way round...
List for today
- pick up package from PO
- send off cheques for debts and rent
- do dishes and wipe down kitchen worktops
- tidy garden and pick potatoes
- put away clothes in bedroom
That's a minimum, I could do more.... maybe....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
List for today
- pick up package from PO - done (thanks to the lovely Louise for some Spanish books to help me in my mission! xxx)
- send off cheques for debts and rent - done (been a bit naughty and sent a bit less than normal payments on a couple, will see how things look at the end of the month and pay the rest then if it doesn't seem like I'm going to starve)
- do dishes and wipe down kitchen worktops
- tidy garden and pick potatoes - done (not many potatoes, everything is so wet and muddy )
- put away clothes in bedroom
Sums...
Had - £88.06 + £40 (taken from debt pymts) = £128.06
minus £3.37 spent on rubber gloves, washing up liquid and stamps = £124.69
Edited to add - how cr*p does that look in my signature?! It looks like I've only paid off £100 in a year  Ah well, at least it hasn't gone up....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
