I think I'm unwell.. woke up at 7.30 this morning (after some very weird and horrible dreams, I must lay off the red wine), went through to the bathroom and decided to scrub it right then  Have now got nice clean tiles and bath, got the worst of the mould off the walls, cleaned toilet and sink. The mouldy bits really need properly scraped off and repainted though, but need to speak to landlady first. Anyway, glad that's out of the way!!
Think I might start on the rest of the 'chest of drawers of terror' in a bit, and then try to do some clothes sorting. Saw some really nice stuff in the shops yesterday, how nice would it be to chuck out all your clothes (apart from a few favourite items) and start again....?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Stop it!!! you are making me feel like a lazy slob:D
I did OH wardrobe out the other week on a mad day of flyladying and he had practically no clothes left by the end of it :rotfl:
I am not buying anything new until I loose some more weight as I know once I start buying bigger size clothes that will be it:o at least if the waistband is cutting me in two then I am conscious that I need to do something about it.But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: You rotter! I was revving up my 'sympathy mode' when I saw you were actually talking about cleaning your bathroom! Tiles... I've got to do them today, its not mould so much as where steam settles - cos its such hard water round here, it ends up looking grungy.
Well done tho on cleaning at that hour of the morning - you want to watch it tho, it might be a regular thing!
Oh god, wouldn't it be nice to chuck almost everything out and start again?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Louise, do you want to come round and do my wardrobe? I think sometimes I could do with someone to be tough with me and say "no, that is never going to fit again" or "no, that looks cr*p"! Oh well, at least tidying out usually means finding things I'd forgotten about... and being organised about outfits for work for ooh about a week, until I go back to grabbing whatever I can find in the morning!
Karma, it wouldn't be so bad if it became regular, despite my lazy tendencies I always feel better when I get up early, when I'm busy, and when I have a tidy house!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Hope you have a nice day today..what are your plans?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

But I like red wine.. hmmph! (insert stamping feet smiley here)
I've done the dishes and finished the chest of drawers of terror, threw out an incredible amount of rubbish - mostly from when I did the Royal Mail surveys where you had to post out stuff, got fed up with that very quickly!
Rest of the day will be a mixture of daytime TV and going through clothes I think... might pop out for a walk if I can resist the shops on the way...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

I *so* relate to that :rotfl:I've done the dishes and finished the chest of drawers of terror, threw out an incredible amount of rubbish
Excellent! I love the name. I wonder *why* we surround ourselves with so much carp?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I like all my carp..i have piccies and cards from kids when they were little and even some weirdly painted dragons, because they knew i liked them! I keep trying to get rid of some things..but will only manage to stuff a few draught excluders at this rate!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Good question.. I think there's probably some sort of deep psychological issues there, I feel secure with lots of 'stuff' but liberated by the removal of 'stuff'. Hmm, lets stop there! :rotfl:
Rather than getting on with sorting out my wardrobe, I'm reading about various people's thoughts on how to organise a wardrobe. At the moment I've got trousers and skirts in one, and tops and blouses in another, with shoes on the top shelf of the first one and jumpers (in a big mess) on the shelf of the other one. But should I be doing it by colour? by work/ casual? And how on earth do you stop tights turning into a big tangle?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
