A night safe you need to have a key for usually used by business account holders and paid for annualy and it appears the OP's ATM's don't accept cash in and I've never seen any myself I have to say.0

Yes, for the police to be able to conduct and carry out an investigation she must be placed bunder formal police caution and that involves placing her under arrest.
She will be invited to attend a local Police station and at that point she will be advised she is being arrested for the purposes of an investigation.DELETE ACCOUNT.

- She'll be asked to give a statement (probably at home).
- If further enquiries (with the bank/CCTV etc) necessitate it, she may be asked to attend the station where she'll be interviewed under caution (WITHOUT being placed under arrest).
- Unless it can be ascertained (by way of CCTV, or the new outfit she's wearing [only kidding OP
]) that she didn't in fact go to the bank that morning, then she will not be arrested...IMHO.

I think it's a bit rude to suggest her daughter stole the money. I think it's unlikely she would let the police get involved if she had taken it.0

can you not deposit money in their external atm? you then get a receipt - have just seen there are no atm's - how can that bank function!!!!???
not all banks use CCTV, and not every branch
in the bank I am at, people put cash in post box, and have been written to asking not to, but they still do
at the end of the day you don't have any evidence this ever existed, and thats the problem0 -

When I've been interviewed as a witness to crimes I have never been placed under arrest. On your witness statement you do sign a statement saying that your words are true etc. and the interview does take place at home unless your station is nearby.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
