Slim PS2 + £32.60 in Boots points for £104.99

Don't want to get anyones hopes up but my husband was in HMV in London (by London Bridge?) on Wednesday and apparently they had several PS2 boxes stacked by the tills.

Obviously they might be just for pre orders or something but it might be worth giving them a call to see if they do actually have any stock.

I saw some yellow boxes stacked in Currys in the Gaming section the other day. Grabbed one and felt pretty silly when it turned out to be empty, lol. Looked closer at it and saw a sticker "display purposes only" Had to put it down slowly and carefully and hope nobody noticed me making a tit of myself. haaahaaaa :-/

Dont give up hope. Ours arrived today by parceforce at 12.30pm - as promised by Boots CS.

Funny how some stores are getting them back in stock now that the bigger PS2 have sold out !!

As for selling stuff on ebay you can do, but dont see much point buying stuff you dont want (when someone realy wants one) and selling it for a profit.

oooooooooo i got mine last week- was charged £95 for it- got £32 in points and two free teddies and sold it today for nearly £200!!!! Some saddo on here tried to "swap" a used mega old laptop for my playstation- didnt bother replying when he told me the specs- 3.2 gb!!!!

It was that with their erroneous extra 10% discount + a code for another 10%. There was an alternative option to use a code for extra points, and the blooper 10% was only on for a couple of hours.

I managed to order a special offer digi camera and the PS2 with the 2 x 10% discounts....brill ;D

People buying bargains to sell on ebay for profit doesn't bother me. It's gloating about it when others have been trying to buy for keeps and missing out that I don't like.
But that's just my take on it - I'm not saying it shouldn't be done, just don't tell the world you're doing it.

why arnt you lot going down to game and pre ordering the ps2.. its been on many other threads on here and other sites ive seen .. they are getting a consignment in the first week of december and are taking deposits that are refundable if anyone is asking so no one loses out.. told my friend abt this she went down and is now picking one up next week..

We aren't going to Game because my local store told me they had used up their entire allocation of pre-orders for the next re-stock, and that I wouldn't get one from them before Xmas.
AND - I'm STILL waiting for this to be delivered from Boots. It's now officially "lost in the post", along with my Freeview box which was supposed to have been delivered yesterday. Boots dispatched it, Post Office don't know where it is.
Now I'm getting close to panicky. What am I going to do with the memory card, 2 games and Eye Toy that I also bought my boy to go with this???

Well it looks like my letter has done some good or they have messed up - £98.99 has been taken from my card which was the exact total of my order as I chose £4.50 delivery ???  Time will tell ::)
All the Game shops I have been to are not taking then anymore but i have one pre-ordered @ simply computers (delivered next week) for £99 so either way I will get one with in a week.
