I ordered early evening on 11th November, selected standard delivery.  After reading other comments on here I didn't really expect to recieve it, but it arrived on the afternoon of 19th November.

So it was you that got my son's PS2 then ::) ;D

    Oh dear

    Sorry :-[

I have two :-[ :-[, one I ordered earlier (and thought wasn't coming), so when I saw the extra 10% offer I ordered again.

Both arrived withing 24 hours of one another.

I was ready to return one of them to Boots when another moneysaver asked me for it and if she wants it, because she asked first, I am going to sell it to her for cost + p&p.

If she decides she doesnt want it......then you can have first refusal.

Well I've just rung Boots and I've been told my order is still being processed and to ring back in a couple of days ???
The guy said he would send an e-mail to the warehouse.
Hmm! I think I'm going to have to pop down to Game.
    :)
  • I saw a PS2 for sale in Wood Green, London, in a Dixons store on the 21st November. I'll have a look tonight to see if they still have one and if they do I'll get it and give first dibs to people here for cost price + P&P. They're probably out of stock now but if they aren't then I'll see what I can do....

  • I'm not, it's greedy people buying them to make a fast buck on ebay preventing the genuine buyers getting them! >:(

i'm not greedy, i'm destitutley skint since finishing university, this'll help me pay a small amount off the overdraft!

If i were greedy i'd have bought two or three, I could have, I didn't

besides, I don't have to justify myself, it's always the ones that are late that complain...........
    ..............
just like when me and the missus got up at 4am for the opening of a local computer store, they had half price IPOD's for the first 10 in,

people were turning up at 8.30 and screaming at the managers because THEY wanted a chance at the ipods.

I sold my ticket to the guy behind me, ebayed the other ipod and used the profits to buy a bike for the missus for her birthday

thats not greed, its entrepreneurial, and if you had the same, you'd commit £95 of your huge overdraft in the hope of ebaying and making a small profit in boots points to buy presents for family.

I am SICK AND TIRED of people on here having a go at others for selling items on at EBAY. It is NO-ONE else business what anyone does with their money on here. I completely agree with you BleughBleugh, there are alot of people who need to get off their high horses on this website and they are all hypercritical anyway, these are the same people screwing la redoute for all the clothes they could get, the same people who use grocery codes that werent sent to them, the same people who jump on every price error they can to get a cheap deal, so say all you want, but if you cant honestly say you leave a saintly life and do nothing wrong EVER then keep your opinions to yourself!!!!!!!
  • For all those people that are complaining about people selling on PS2's for profit on ebay, may I recommend buying some Johnsons Baby Shampoo. It has a patented "No more tears" formula which I think you'll find most agreeable.
  • Had i have had the money to buy them, then sell them on, i would not tell the world about.

With them coming down to £100, was going to be the chance my son could have one for xmas.

Well, not now.Cant justify paying best part of £200 for them on ebay.

My boy will have to wait. The people who have done this to line their pockets because they are skint, deprive other skint peoples children.

Hope you feel good about it tho.

Lets just hope the shops have some in before xmas.
    For our childrens sake.

Unfortunately the market doesn't work on socialist principles of everyone gets something. This board is called "Grab it while you can" for a very good reason.
And if people had been paying attention they would have seen the thread I started weeks ago when Argos first got these in and were selling them for £99 including an extra controller and DVD remote.
    Unfortunately "he who snoozes, loses".
Besides I have no doubt the shops will be full of these by Xmas - otherwise why did Sony pay all that money to advertise PS2s in the middle of the live Man Utd game yesterday, and had advertising hoardings all round the ground. This is just a sharp bit or marketing by people who are VERY professional - they will let us have these when there's enough hysteria built up.
    Cheers

p.s. Boots emailed me FOUR days ago to tell me my PS2 has been despatched, but I'm still waiting for it. AND I won't be selling mine on Ebay.
